Han Hyo-Joo & Byun Yo-Han cast in movie “The Sun Does Not Move”

Han Hyo-Joo and Byun Yo-Han are cast in Japanese film “The Sun Does Not Move” (literal title) starring Tatsuya Fujiwara. The film is based on two novels in the “Kazuhiko Takano Series” by Shuichi Yoshida (“Villain“) and directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (“Assassination Classroom“). Han Hyo-Joo previously co-starred in Japanese film “Miracle: Devil Claus’ Love and Magic,” while this is the first Japanese film for Byun Yo-Han. Han Hyo-Joo in “The Sun Does Not Move” will play an industrial spy of unknown origins and Byun Yo-Han will play industrial spy David Kim.

“The Sun Does Not Move” opens May 15, 2020 in Japan.

Hokuto Yoshino & Nonoka Yamaguchi cast for lead roles in live-action film “Kiss Him, Not Me”

Hokuto Yoshino (‘The Rampage from Exile Tribe’) and Nonoka Yamaguchi (‘E-girls’) are cast for lead roles in live-action film “Kiss Him, Not Me.” Also cast in major supporting character roles are Fuju Kamio, Miu Tomita, Asahi Ito and So Okuno. The film is based on manga series  “Watashi ga Motete Dosunda” by Junko and will be directed by Norihisa Hiranuma (“High & Low The Worst Episode.0“).

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Kae Serinuma (Miu Tomita) is a chubby female high school student. She is a fujoshi, who enjoys reading about romance between men. One day, her favorite animation character dies and she falls into shock. Kae Serinuma is unable to eat for a week and she ends up losing a lot of weight. The end result is that Kae Serinuma (Nonoka Yamaguchi) suddenly becomes popular at school. Four pretty male students fall for Kae Serinuma. The four boys are Asuma Mutsumi (Hokuto Yoshino), Yusuke Igarashi (Fuju Kamio), Nozomu Nanashima (Asahi Ito) and Hayato Shinomiya (So Okuno).

“Kiss Him, Not Me” will be released July 10, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for SBS drama series “Good Casting”

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “Good Casting” starring Choi Gang-Hee. The teaser trailer begins with Choi Gang-Hee as former NIS agent Baek Chan-Mi stating “Wait for a little bit. I will catch the guy who killed you and make him kneel down in front of you.”

“Good Casting” will first air April, 2020 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Nobody Knows.”).

KBS2 to air drama series “Forest” from January 29th

KBS2 is set to air drama series “Forest,” starring Park Hae-Jin & Jo Bo-Ah, from January 29, 2020. The drama series previously went under the working title of “Secret” and will now slot into KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Woman of 9.9 Billion.” Filming for the drama series finished August, 2019 and the drama series will air as completed production.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Kang San-Hyeok (Park Hae-Jin) is a member of the 119 special rescue team. He is handsome and smart, but he does not remember his childhood. Jung Young-Jae (Jo Bo-Ah) is an enthusiastic surgical resident.

Teaser poster added for upcoming WOWOW drama series “Oedo Great Journey” starring Ryuhei Maruyama. The period drama series is based on 2016 novel “Daken Dochu Okage Mairi” by Akihiro Dobashi (“Samurai Marathon“) and directed by Katsuhide Motoki (“Samurai Hustle“) & Masanori Inoue.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: In the year 1830, Tatsugoro (Ryuhei Maruyama) was once known as a legendary gambler, but heavy losses in gambling causes him to fall deeply into debt. As a child, he grew up as an orphan and he is still all alone as an adult.

One day, Tatsugoro is selected by lots as a representative of a nagaya (multi-unit housing). He and others go to Ise Grand Shrine to worship. During the journey, Tatsugoro meets a dog Okinamaruo, a boy Miyoshi and a beautiful woman Saya. He pretends to be a family with them.

Yoo Seung-Ho & Lee Se-Young are cast in tvN drama series “Memorist.” In addition, the first script reading for the drama series took place December 2, 2019. Attending the first script reading were Yoo Seung-Ho, Lee Se-Young, Cho Seong-Ha, Ko Chang-Seok, Jun Hyo-Seong, Yun Ji-On, Son Kwang-Eop, and Lim Se-Joo. First script reading for OCN drama series “Rugal”

First script reading for upcoming OCN drama series “Rugal” took place October, 2019 at Donga Digital Media Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members that attended included Choi Jin-Hyuk, Park Sung-Woong, Jo Dong-Hyuk, Jung Hye-In, Han Ji-Wan, Kim Min-Sang, Park Sun-Ho, Kim Da-Hyun, Park Jung-Hak, and Park Choong-Sun all attended. The drama series is based on webcomic “Rugal” by Rilmae. Choi Jin-Hyuk plays main character Kang Ki-Beom. He loses his wife and his eyes due to criminal organization Argos. He joins Rugal to get revenge.
