Ryoko Shinohara cast in NTV sequel drama series “The Pride of the Temp”

Ryoko Shinohara is cast in NTV sequel drama series “The Pride of the Temp.” The drama series follows 2007 NTV drama series “The Pride of the Temp” and will have Ryoko Shinohara reprising her main character role of Haruko Omae. Screenwriter Miho Nakazono will also return to write the screenplay for the sequel drama series.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Employment in Japan, traditionally consisted of hiring someone as a full time employee at a company and they worked for that company until their retirement. “The Pride of the Temp” will air April, 2020 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Wednesday 10 PM time slot after “Off the Record.”).

Tori Matsuzaka cast in live-action film “In Those Days”

Tori Matsuzaka is cast in live-action film “In Those Days.” The film is based on autobiographical manga essay “Ano Koro: Danshi Kashimashi Monogatari ” by Mikito Tsurugi. Mikito Tsurugi is the bassist for electronic band Arakajime and he has acted in films “The Mohican Comes Home” and “Ringing in Their Ears.” The film will be directed by Rikiya Imaizumi (“Little Nights, Little Love“).

“In Those Days” will be released sometime during 2021 in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 and two main posters added for tvN drama series “Hi Bye, Mama!” starring Kim Tae-Hee, Lee Kyu-Hyung, and Go Bo-Gyeol. Teaser trailer #2 begins with Kim Tae-Hee praying in a Catholic Church. She prays to see her daughter again and then she will go away. At the 21 second mark, Kim Tae-Hee reveals that “All of a sudden, I was reincarnated.”

Ren Nagase cast in live-action film “Yowamushi Pedal”

Ren Nagase is cast for the lead role in live-action film “Yowamushi Pedal.” Also cast in major supporting character roles are Kentaro Ito and Kanna Hashimoto. The film is based on manga series “Yowamushi Pedal” by Wataru Watanabe and directed by Koichiro Miki (“Evergreen Love“). For the film Ren Nagase will play otaku Sakamichi Onoda who takes up the sport of bicycle racing. Kentaro Ito will play racing rival Shunsuke Imaizumi and Kanna Hashimoto will play bicycle racing club manager Miki Kanzaki. Filming for the movie will begin February, 2020. To prepare for his role, Ren Nagase began practicing bicycle racing from December, 2019.

“Yowamushi Pedal” will be released August 14, 2020 in Japan.

Son Seok-Koo cast in movie “The Outlaws 2”

Actor Son Seok-Koo is cast in upcoming sequel film “The Outlaws 2” starring Ma Dong-Seok. Son Seok-Koo will play exteme villain Kang Hae-Sang in the movie. He confronts Detective Ma Suk-Do (Ma Dong-Seok). Besides Ma Dong-Seok and Son Seok-Koo no other castings has been revealed yet. Movie “The Outlaws 2” is a sequel to 2017 box-office hit “The Outlaws.” Director Kang Yoon-Sung returns to direct the sequel film as well.

“The Outlaws 2” will be released later this year in South Korea.

The romance film spans 30 years as it tells the relationship between Yayoi Yuki (Haru) and Taro Yamada (Ryo Narita). Jang Dong-Yoon & Krystal cast in OCN drama series “Search”

Jang Dong-Yoon & Krystal are cast in OCN drama series “Search.” The two leads will play members of a military search team who get caught in the DMZ and fight against a mysterious creature. Jang Dong-Yoon most recently starred in 2019 KBS2 drama series “The Tale of Nokdu,” while Krystal from ‘f(x)’ starred in 2018 OCN drama series “The Player.”

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Military search troop members, including Koo Dong-Jin (Jang Dong-Yoon) and Son Ye-Rim (Krystal) try to fight against a mysterious creature and struggle to get away from the DMZ. They build camaraderie through their struggle.

Koo Dong-Jin is a sergeant with only a little time left in the army. Son Ye-Rim is an elite officer and she has a secret about her birth.
