Kazuya Kamenashi is cast for the lead role in movie “Stigmatized Property” (literal title). The film is based on nonfiction novel “Jiko Bukken Kaidan: Kowai Madori” by comedian Tanishi Matsubara and directed by Hideo Nakata (“Sadako“). Tanishi Matsubara wrote his novel, after he began living at properties where murders took place. Most of those places offered lower rent and he would start to witness unusual phenomenons there. In the movie version, Kazuya Kamenashi will play main character Yamame Yamano. Filming for the movie will begin late January, 2020 and finish at the end of February, 2020. Shooting will take place in the suburbs of Tokyo.
“Stigmatized Property” will be released August 28, 2020 in Japan.
Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Yamame Yamano (Kazuya Kamenashi) is an unpopular comedian. His senior informs him that “…it will air on TV, if you stay at the stigmatized property where a murder took place.” That is how Yamame Yamano begins to stay at stigmatized properties. And at those stigmatized properties, he experiences various unnatural phenomenas.
