Satoshi Tsumabuki cast in TBS drama “Dangerous Venus”

Satoshi Tsumabuki is cast in TBS drama series “Dangerous Venus” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2016 novel “Kikenna Venus” by Keigo Higashino. Satoshi Tsumabuki will play veterinarian Hakuro Teshima in the drama series. He becomes involved in the search for his missing stepbrother and a family inheritance involving three billion yen.

“Dangerous Venus” first airs October, 2020 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Sunday 9PM time slot after “Naoki Hanzawa.”).

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Voice of Sin” (English title) starring Shun Oguri & Gen Hoshino. Movie is based on 2016 novel “Tsumi no Koe” by Takeshi Shiota and directed by Nobuhiro Doi (“Flying Colors“). Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Furiko” by singer-songwriter Uru. Theme song “Furiko” also plays in the main trailer.

“The Voice of Sin” will be released October 30, 2020 in Japan.

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “If I Cheat, I Die” (literal title), starring Cho Yeo-Jeong & Go Joon, took place June 22, 2020 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. The first script reading was attended by Cho Yeo-Jeong, Go Joon, Kim Young-Dae, Yeon Woo, Song Ok-Suk, Jung Sang-Hoon, Lee Si-Un, Kim Ye-Won, Hong Soo-Hyun, Oh Min-Suk, Lee Se-Na, Bae Noo-Ri, Kim Jung-Pal, Kim Do-Hyun, Han Soo-Yeon, Kong Sang-A, Yoo Joon-Hong, director Kim Hyung-Suk, and screenwriter Lee Sung-Min. Genre for “If I Cheat, I Die” has comedy, mystery, and thriller elements. Cho Yeo-Jeong plays crime novelist Kang Ye-Joo. She always thinks about different ways to murder people for her novels. Her husband is lawyer Han Woo-Sung (Go Joon).

Junichi Okada cast in movie “The Fable: Chapter Two”

Junichi Okada is cast for live-action sequel film “The Fable: Chapter Two” (working & literal title). Also set to play new characters in the sequel film are Shinichi Tsutsumi, Yurina Hirate, and Masanobu Ando. Set to reprise characters from the original 2019 movie “The Fable” are Fumino Kimura, Mizuki YamamotoJiro SatoKai Inowaki, Ken Yasuda, and Koichi Sato. “The Fable: Chapter Two” is based on manga series “The Fable” by Katsuhisa Minami and directed by Kan Eguchi.

“The Fable: Chapter Two” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Ep.1 trailer for OCN drama “Missing: The Other Side”

Ep.1 trailer added for OCN drama series “Missing: The Other Side” starring Ko Soo, Heo Jun-Ho, and Ahn So-Hee. The trailer begins with quick shots of Ko Soo, Ahn So-Hee and Moon Yoo-Kang stating “we are swindlers of justice.” The trailer also shows Ko Soo as Kim Wook discovering a missing child from Duon Village. Kim Wook suspects that child was kidnapped and he looks into the people of Duon Village. Meanwhile, below are still images of the first scene between Kim Wook and Jang Pan-Seok (Heo Jun-Ho).

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Love Blooming House” (working English title), starring Lee Jang-Woo & Jin Ki-Joo, took place July, 2020 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. The first script readingwas attended by screenwriter Yoon Kyung-A, director Hong Seok-Ku, Lee Jang-Woo, Jin Ki-Joo, Jeon In-Hwa, Jung Bo-Suk, Hwang Shin-Hye, Jin Kyung, Kim Sun-Young, In Gyo-Jin, Han Bo-Reum, Jeon Sung-Woo, Bona, Ryeo Un, and Kim Si-Eun. After the first script reading, veteran actor Jung Bo-Suk made the bold statement of “This is the funnest script I ever went through in my 34 years of acting.”

Trailer & supporting cast for movie “Child of the Stars”

Trailer added for movie “Child of the Stars” starring Mana Ashida. In addition, supporting cast members has been announced for the film. The newly announced cast members are Masaki OkadaKohei OtomoKengo KoraHaru KurokiAju Makita, and Ninon. For Masaki Okada, he play Teacher Minami. He works at the school where 15-year-old Chihiro (Mana Ashida) attends. Chihiro falls in love with him at first sight and he later has an important impact on her fate.

Kim Ji-Soo cast in JTBC drama series “Snowdrop”

Kim Ji-Soo from girl group “Blackpink” is cast in new JTBC drama series “Snowdrop” (working & literal title). For Kim Ji-Soo this will be her first regular character acting role (she previously did short appearances in “Arthdal Chronicles” and “The Producers“). Kim Ji-Soo is also the first announced cast member for the drama series “Snowdrop.” The drama series has some links to JTBC drama series “SKY Castle,” with director Jo Hyun-Tak and screenwriter Yoo Hyun-Mi having worked on “Sky Castle” and now “Snowdrop.” In addition, actress Kim Hye-Yoon from “Sky Castle” has also been offered a role in the drama series “Snowdrop” and she is currently considering the offer.

Which network, release date, or plot details have not yet been revealed for “Snowdrop.”
