Mun Ka-Young, Cha Eun-Woo, & Hwang In-Yeop cast in tvN drama “True Beauty”

Mun Ka-YoungCha Eun-Woo, and Hwang In-Yeop are now cast in tvN drama series “True Beauty.” The drama series is adapted from webcomic “Yeoshingangrim” by Yaongyi. Mun Ka-Young will play lead female character Im Joo-Kyeong. She is a high school student with a bright personality. She has a complex about her appearance and hides herself behind make-up. Cha Eun-Woo will play lead male character Lee Soo-Ho. He is also a high school student and transfers to the same high school as Im Joo-Kyeong. He appears to be perfect with an attractive appearance, does well in school and excellent athletic ability. Lastly, Hwang In-Yeop will play Han Seo-Joon. He is a masculine guy with a warm heart.

“True Beauty” first airs sometime later this year in South Korea.

Teaser posters & air date for JTBC drama “Private Life”

Two teaser posters and ep.1 air date updated for JTBC drama series “Private Life” (literal title) starring Ko Gyung-Pyo and Seohyun. The teaser posters are of the two female leads Seohyun and Kim Hyo-Jin and the other teaser posters are of the male leads Ko Gyung-Pyo and Kim Young-Min. 

“Private Life” is now set to first air September 16, 2020 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 PM time slot after “Was It Love.”).

Ren Komai & Etsushi Toyokawa cast in movie “Itomichi”

Ren Komai and Etsushi Toyokawa are cast in movie “Itomichi.” The film is based on 2011 novel “Itomichi” by Osamu Koshigaya (“Girl In The Sunny Place“) and directed by Satoko Yokohama (“Bare Essence of Life“). Ren Komai will play main character Ito Soma and Etushi Toyokawa will play her father Koichi Soma. Filming for the movie will begin mid-September, 2020 in Aomori Prefecture, including Aomori City, Hirosaki, and Itayanagi town. the movie will be released in 2021. 

“Itomichi” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

First teaser poster for JTBC drama “18 Again”

First teaser poster added for JTBC drama series “18 Again” starring Kim Ha-Neul & Yoon Sang-Hyun. The drama series is a remake of 2009 U.S. film “17 Again.” Caption on the teaser poster states in Korean “My husband, who was like an enemy, became 18 years old!” Meanwhile below are still images from the drama series of Kim Ha-Neul and Yoon Sang-Hyun. Song Joong-Ki, Jeon Yeo-Bin, & TaecYeon cast in tvN drama “Vincenzo”

Song Joong-KiJeon Yeo-Bin, and TaecYeon are now cast in tvN drama series “Vincenzo.” The drama series will have Song Joong-Ki play title character Vincenzo Casano. After being adopted, he grew up in Italy and became a cold-blooded strategist and lawyer for the mafia. He looks like a sweet person, but he won’t hesitate to take revenge. He also has excellent negotiation skills and charismatic. He returns to South Korea after war breaks out between the mafia.

Jeon Yeo-Bin will play Hong Cha-Young. She is an ace lawyer in South Korea and works for big law firm Woosang. She is the type of attorney who will do anything to win a case.

Lastly, TaecYeon will play Jang Joon-Woo. He is an intern lawyer at Woosang where Hong Cha-Young works. He grew up at abroad. He has a handsome appearance and an innocent smile. He trusts his trainer Hong Cha-Young and admires her. 

“Vincenzo” will first air sometime during the first half of 2021 in South Korea.

Kentaro Sakaguchi cast in NTV drama “35-Year-Old Girl”

Kentaro Sakaguchi is cast in NTV drama series “35-Year-Old Girl” (literal title) starring Kou Shibasaki. Kentaro Sakguchi will play 35-year-old Yuto Hirose in the drama series. He first became friends with Nozomi Imamura (Kou Shibasaki) when they were 10-year-olds and he became the first love of Nozomi Imamura. He worked as an elementary school teacher in his past, but he quit his job due to a case. He reunites with Nozomi Imamura for the first time in 25 years, but she acts like a 10-year-old kid.

“35-Year-Old Girl” first airs October, 2020 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Saturday 10PM time slot after “Detective Novice.”).

Shin Ha-Kyun & Yeo Jin-Goo cast in JTBC drama”Monster”

Shin Ha-Kyun and Yeo Jin-Goo are cast in JTBC detective drama series “Monster” (literal title). They will play detectives in a small town, who work together to capture a serial killer. Shin Ha-Kyun will play Lee Dong-Sik. He received a demotion a long time ago and now works at the small police substation in a quiet town. Yeo Jin-Goo will play Han Joo-Won. He is an elite detective and transfers to the same station where Lee Dong-Sik works.

“Monster” will first air sometime during the first half of 2021 in South Korea.
