Main trailer added for movie “Blue, Painful, and Brittle” (literal title) starring Ryo Yoshizawa & Hana Sugisaki. The film is based on 2018 novel “Aokute Itakute Moroi” by Yoru Sumino (“Let Me Eat Your Pancreas“) and directed by Shunsuke Kariyama. The main trailer begins with Hana Sugisaki stating “The world can be changed.”

Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed, which is “Yumemigusa” by rock band Blue Encount. The theme song is featured in the main trailer.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Mitsuomi Kozuka (Yuki Furukawa) quits his job due to his boss. He decides to return to his hometown for the first time in 10 years. The town is located in the countryside. There, Mitsuomi Kozuka meets Yamato Kumai (Ryo Ryusei). Yamato Kumai is the stepson of old man Kumai. The old man runs a farm near the home of Mitsuomi Kozuka’s parents.

Mitsuomi Kozuka and Yamato Kumai soon become good friends, but, one night, Mitsuomi Kozuka kisses Yamato Kumai while he is sleeping.

Kento Yamazaki cast in sci-fi film “The Door into Summer”

Kento Yamazaki is cast for the lead role in sci-fi film “The Door into Summer.” The film is based on 1957 novel “The Door into Summer” by American writer Robert A. Heinlein and will be directed by Takahiro Miki (“We Were There“). In the movie. Kento Yamazaki will play scientist Soichiro Takakura. After he is betrayed by two people, he steps into a cryogenic like sleep chamber and wakes up 30 years later.

“The Door into Summer” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “Yowamushi Pedal” starring Ren Nagase and Kentaro Ito. The movie’s theme song has also been revealed, which is “Key of Heart” by J-pop group King & Prince. The track “Key of Heart” also plays in the main trailer.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Sakamichi Onoda (Ren Nagase) is a high school student. He is an otaku, who loves animation and he is also a loner. Although he isn’t good in sports, he decides to enroll in the bicycle racing club. Unexpectedly, he finds that he has a talent for bicycle racing. For the first time, he has a friend. Sakamichi Onoda exceeds his limits and finds pleasure in the sport of bicycle racing.

Hokuto Matsumura & Nana Mori cast in live-action “Liar x Liar.”

Hokuto Matsumura (SixTONES) and Nana Mori are cast in live-action film “Liar x Liar.” The film is based on manga series “Liar x Liar” by Renjuro Kindaichi (“Yuube wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne“) and directed by Saiji Yakumo (“My Pretend Girlfriend“). The film will have Hokuto Matsumura and Nana Mori play step-siblings, who become involved in a complicated relationship due to a lie that the girl tells.
