Main trailer & poster for live-action film “Yowamushi Pedal”

Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “Yowamushi Pedal” starring Ren Nagase and Kentaro Ito. The movie’s theme song has also been revealed, which is “Key of Heart” by J-pop group King & Prince. The track “Key of Heart” also plays in the main trailer.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Sakamichi Onoda (Ren Nagase) is a high school student. He is an otaku, who loves animation and he is also a loner. Although he isn’t good in sports, he decides to enroll in the bicycle racing club. Unexpectedly, he finds that he has a talent for bicycle racing. For the first time, he has a friend. Sakamichi Onoda exceeds his limits and finds pleasure in the sport of bicycle racing.

“Yowamushi Pedal” will be released August 14, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser poster added for movie “Child of the Stars” (literal title) starring Mana Ashida. Caption on the teaser poster states “Trust. Love. Become an adult…” Speaking of becoming an audlt, Mana Ashida is now 16 years old and she’s on the doorsteps of adulthood herself.

“Child of the Stars” has also picked up a October, 2020 release date in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: When Chihiro (Mana Ashida) was a baby, she suffered from eczema. Her parents tried to find a cure, but nothing worked. Her father’s co-worker then gave him some water from a strange religious group. Chihiro was miraculously cured by the water. Her parents began to follow the strange religion and became fervent followers. Chihiro is now in the 3rd grade of middle school and she faces changes in her life.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “The Voice in the Crime” (literal title) starring Shun Oguri & Gen Hoshino. Caption on the teaser poster states “A kid’s voice left on a threatening tape.” The movie is based on 2016  novel “Tsumi no Koe” by Takeshi Shiota, which is motivated by a real life extortion case. 10 new supporting cast members have also been announced for the film. Hokuto Matsumura & Nana Mori cast in live-action “Liar x Liar.”

Hokuto Matsumura (SixTONES) and Nana Mori are cast in live-action film “Liar x Liar.” The film is based on manga series “Liar x Liar” by Renjuro Kindaichi (“Yuube wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne“) and directed by Saiji Yakumo (“My Pretend Girlfriend“). The film will have Hokuto Matsumura and Nana Mori play step-siblings, who become involved in a complicated relationship due to a lie that the girl tells.

“Liar x Liar” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Teaser poster for movie “Ora, Ora Be Goin’ Alone” (English title) starring Yuko Tanaka and Yu Aoi. The film is based on 2017 novel “Ora Ora de Hitori Igumo” by Chisako Wakatake and directed by Shuichi Okita (“The Woodsman and the Rain“). Caption on the poster states in Japanese “Momoko who lives alone. Now I have nothing to fear.” The five people on the poster plays Momoko and her thoughts. The five are Yuko Tanaka, Yu Aoi, Gaku Hamada, Munetaka Aoki, and Kankuro Kudo. Lastly “Ora, Ora Be Goin’ Alone” is now slotted for release sometime during autumn, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Wife of a Spy” starring Yu Aoi and Issey Takahashi. The film is the theatrical movie version of NHK drama special “Wife of a Spy,” which aired June 6, 2020 on NHK. The drama special was filmed in 8k, which was the first time for heralded director Kiyoshi Kurosawa. “Wife of a Spy” is a romance thriller set in the year 1940.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Set in 1940, Yusaku (Issey Takahashi) runs a trading company in Kobe, Japan and he he is married to Satoko (Yu Aoi). While on a business trip in Manchuria, Yusaku learns of a horrific national secret. For the sake of justice, he decides to let the whole world know about his discovery. Satoko believes Yusaku, who is now accused of being a traitor. She swears to be with Yusaku no matter the consequences.

Upcoming movie “Soiree,” starring Nijiro Murakami & Haruka Imou, has received a release date of August 28, 2020 in Japan. 9 new still images has also been revealed for the upcoming film. Movie is written and directed by Bunji Satoyama (“A Sparkle Of Life“). Veteran actor Kosuke Toyohara is also the producer for the film.

Trailer for movie “True Mothers”

Trailer added for movie “True Mothers” starring Hiromi Nagasaku and Arata Iura. The film is based on 2015 novel “Asa ga Kuru” by Mizuki Tsujimura (“Until The Break Of Dawn“) and directed by Naomi Kawase. “True Mothers” was also selected for the 2020 Cannes Film Festivals (the festival will not open to the public this year due to the Covid-19 outbreak). The trailer trailer begins with a phone ring and Satoko Kurihara (Hiromi Nagasaku) answer’s the phone.
