Nobuyuki Suzuki and Rio Uchida are cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun.” The drama series is based on manga “Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun” by Arare Matsumushi. The screenplay will revolve around a romance between a bicycle owner, who has a thug’ish appearance, and a office worker lady.

Sota Fukushi & Rio Uchida are cast for lead roles in NHK drama series “Meiji Kaika: Shinjuro Tanteicho.” The drama series is based on 1950’s novel “Meiji Kaika Ango Torimonocho” by Ango Sakaguchi (“A Woman and War“). Also cast in supporting roles are Yuma Yamoto, Yasuhi Nakamura, Masanobu Katsumura, Shingo Tsurumi, Izumi Inamori, and Katsunori Takahashi.

Rio Uchida is cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Raise de wa Chanto Shimasu.” The drama series is based on the manga of same name by Itsumachan. The manga series has so far published three volumes, with the first published November 19, 2018 by Shueisha. The drama series will follow the sexual lives of 5 people who work at the a CG production company. Rio Uchida will play Momoe Omori.

In addition four new supporting cast members has been announced for the film: Rio Uchida, Noriko Eguchi, Ryohei Otani, and Masanobu Takashima. Kei Tanaka, Kotaro Yoshida, Kento Hayashi are cast in movie “Ossan’s Love: The Movie.” The film is a sequel to 2018 TV Asahi drama series “Ossan’s Love.” Also cast in supporting roles for the film are Rio Uchida, Daichi Kaneko, Shuko Ito, Kazuya Kojima, Hidekazu Mashima and Nene Otsuka. All performers announced are reprising their respective roles from the drama series. The drama series follows real estate agent Soichi Haruta (Kei Tanaka). He is straight, but his co-worker Ryota Maki (Kento Hayashi) and married boss Musashi Kurosawa (Kotaro Yoshida) fall in love with him.
Filming for “Ossan’s Love: The Movie” takes place from March, 2019 to May, 2019.
Rio Uchida is cast in upcoming live-action Fuji TV drama “Meals Shogi Player Loved.” The drama series is based on manga “Shogi Meshi” by Nagisa Matsumoto, with screenplay adaptation handled by Yoriko Kodama. In the drama series, Rio Uchida will play main character Nayuta Toge. She is professional shogi player and her matches usually last for about 10 hours. Nayuta Toge also carefully thinks about what her meals will be during the breaks in her matches.
