First teaser poster & air date set for SBS drama “Love Scout”

First teaser poster & air date set for SBS drama series “Love Scout” starring Han Ji-Min & Lee Joon-Hyuk. The romance themed drama series revolves around the CEO of a company (Han Ji-Min), who is oblivious to things outside of work, and her secretary (Lee Joon-Hyuk). The Korean title has also changed from “Insahaneun Sai” (literally “Between Greetings”) to “Naui Wanbyeokhan Biseo” (literally “My Perfect Secretary”).

“Love Scout ” will first air January 3, 2025 in South Korea (will take over SBS’ Friday and Saturday 10PM time slot after “The Fiery Priest 2“).

Ryubi Miyase & Rinka Kumada cast in movie “Kaodakeja Sukini Narimasen”

Ryubi Miyase & Rinka Kumada are cast in live-action movie “Kaodakeja Sukini Narimasen.” The film is based on manga series “Kaodakeja Sukini Narimasen” by Karin Anzai and directed by Saiji Yakumo (“Touken Ranbu“). The film will revolve around two high school students who work together to increase the school’s social media site. This is so the male student with blue hair named Kanato Ugo, can avoid getting expelled.

“Kaodakeja Sukini Narimasen” will be released March 7, 2025 in Japan.

Eiji Akaso cast in NTV drama “Sozoku Tantei”

Eiji Akaso is cast in NTV live-action drama series “Sozoku Tantei.” The drama series is based on manga series “Sozoku Tantei” by Yumie Nishiogi (“SPEC: Birth“). The screenplay adaptation will revolved around a private detective named Nao Haie (Eiji Akaso). He specializes in difficult to solve inheritance cases.

“Sozoku Tantei” will first air January, 2025 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Saturday 9PM time slot after “After School Doctor“).

Main cast & teaser trailer for Netflix drama “Asura”

Rie Miyazawa, Machiko Ono, Yu Aoi, and Suzu Hirose are cast in Netflix drama series “Asura.” The drama series is a remake of 1979 NHK drama series “Asura no Gotoku” and award winning director Hirokazu Koreeda will direct the Netflix remake version. The drama series will revolve around four adult sisters who learn that their father has a mistress and a child born out of wedlock. In addition, the first teaser trailer for the drama series has been added at AsianWiki.

“Asura” will be available to stream from January 9, 2025.

The drama series is based on webcomic “Jomyeonggage” by Kang Pool (“Moving“) and directed by veteran actor Kim Hee-Won. Lee Min-Jung & Kim Ji-Suk cast in drama “Yeah, Let’s Get a Divorce”

Lee Min-Jung & Kim Ji-Suk are cast in drama series “Yeah, Let’s Get a Divorce” (literal title). For actress Lee Min-Jung, this is her first starring role in a drama series since 2020 KBS2 drama “Once Again.” The two leads will play a married couple who also run a company together. They then go through a divorce, while trying to save their company from bankruptcy.

“Yeah, Let’s Get a Divorce” will air sometime in the first half of next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “The Boy and the Dog” starring Fumiya Takahashi and Nanase Nishino. Movie is based on short story collection “Shonen to Inu” by Seishu Hase and directed by Takahisa Zeze (“The 8-Year Engagement“). Caption on the teaser poster states “The dog traveled 3000km from Tohoku to Kyushu, over a 5 year period, just to meet the boy.”
