Teaser poster and air date set for SBS drama series “The Fiery Priest 2” starring Kim Nam-Gil, Lee Ha-Nee, & Kim Sung-Kyun. The drama series is a sequel to 2019 SBS drama series “The Fiery Priest.” Caption on the teaser poster states “Bellato’s mission. Let’s start.” In “The Fiery Priest 2,” Kim Hae-Il (Kim Nam-Gil) becomes special fiery priest Bellato, who is chosen by the Pope. Due to this, Kim Hae-Il has authority to implement justice. He faces a new group of evil people.

“The Fiery Priest 2” first airs November 8, 2024 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Friday and Saturday 10PM time slot after “The Judge from Hell“).

Masaharu Fukuyama and Kasumi Arimura cast in movie “Black Showman”

Masaharu Fukuyama and Kasumi Arimura are cast in movie “Black Showman.” The film is based on 2020 mystery novel “Black Showman and the Murder in an Obscure Town” by Keigo Higashino and directed by Akira Tanaka (“Ichikei’s Crow“). Story for “Black Showman” revolves around the murder of junior high school teacher Eiichi Kamio. His niece (Kasumi Arimura) and brother (Masaharu Fukuyama) team up to find out the truth behind his death. Filming for “Black Showman” will begin in late October.

“Black Showman” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Hiroshi Abe cast for movie “Showtime 7”

Hiroshi Abe is cast for the lead role in movie “Showtime 7.” The film is a remake of 2013 South Korean movie “The Terror Live” starring Ha Jung-Woo. For the upcoming thriller, Hiroshi Abe will play former anchorman and now radio show host Shinnosuke Orimoto. He receives a phone call from someone warning of a bomb that will explode. Meanwhile, the first teaser poster and teaser trailer, which can be viewed at AsianWiki, has been released. Caption on the teaser poster states “The worst live broadcast (Showtime) in history begins.”

“Showtime 7” will be released February 7, 2025 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for OCN-TVING drama special “Recipient” starring Kang Shin and Jo Joon-Young. The drama special is part of the O’PENing series of specials that airs on sister network tvN and will air on OCN for this episode. The teaser trailer begins with Kang Shin as Sung Seo-Yeon stating “5 billion won” (approximately $3.7 million USD). Around the 11 second mark Jo Joon-Young asks “What is your plan for the future?” and Kang Shin responds “My plan is to never get caught.”

“Recipient” consists of 2 episodes and will air from October 13 – 20, 2024.

First still images and release date set for upcoming movie “Devils Stay” starring Park Shin-Yang, Lee Min-Ki, and Lee Re. The occult themed horror movie covers a 3 day period during the funeral of Cha So-Mi (Lee Re). Her father Cha Seung-Do (Park Shin-Yang) tries to revive his dead daughter and Priest Van (Lee Min-Ki) performs an exorcism to get rid of a demon. Cha So-Mi is also encroached by the mysterious being.

“Devils Stay” is now set for release November, 2024 in South Korea.

Drama series is set in the year 1992, when four women go into business in a rural area and begin selling adult products door-to-door.
