Teaser trailer and poster added for upcoming movie “Firefighters” starring Joo Won, Kwak Do-Won, & Yoo Jae-Myung. Movie is based on the true story of the Hongje-dong arson case that occurred in 2001. The teaser video begins with Kwak Do-Won asking “Brother, aren’t you scared?” A conversation ensues about the danger and fear that exists during a fire rescue operation.

“Firefighters” will be released December 4, 2024 in South Korea.

Ma Dong-Seok & Park Hyung-Sik cast in drama “Twelve”

Actors Ma Dong-Seok and Park Hyung-Sik are cast for lead roles in drama series “Twelve.” The drama series is setup as a fantasy-action blockbuster and will be directed by Kang Dae-Kyu (“Harmony“). Ma Dong-Seok will play Tae-San. He leads a group of 12 angels that battle evil forces. Park Hyung-Sik will play O-Gwi. He is an evil being and became somehow awakened after being sealed in the gates of Hell.

“Twelve” will be released sometime next year, but its broadcasting station or OTT platform has not yet been decided.

Teaser poster and air date set for MBC drama series “When The Phone Rings” (English title) starring Yoo Yeon-Seok & Chae Soo-Bin. The mystery-romance drama series is based on 2022 web novel “Jigeum Geoshin Jeonhwaneun” by Geoneomulnyeo. Caption on the teaser poster states “Everyone has a secret right? Don’t you? Something hiding from.”

“When The Phone Rings” will first air November 22, 2024 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Friday and Saturday 9:50 PM time slot after “Doubt“) and will be available to stream on Netflix shortly after airing in Korea.

Seiyo Uchino cast in WOWOW drama “Gold Sunset”

Seiyo Uchino is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Gold Sunset.” The drama series is written and directed by Sumio Omori, who previously worked with Seiyo Uchino as the screenwriter for 1999 movie “The Black House” and 2007 NHK drama series “Samurai Banners.” In “Gold Sunset,” Seiyo Uchino will play a mysterious middle aged man. He often screams in his apartment and at the park. A young neighbor takes an interest in his activities and learns about a theater group.

“Gold Sunset” consists of 6 episodes and will first air sometime next year in Japan.

Yosuke Eguchi and Aju Makita are cast in WOWOW drama series “Dareka ga Kono Machi de.” The mystery drama series is based on 2022 novel “Dareka ga Kono Machi de” by Hiromi San and directed by Yuichi Sato (“Strawberry Night“). For actor Yosuke Eguchi, “Dareka ga Kono Machi de” will be his first lead acting role in a drama series since 2020 NHK drama series “Request to the Angel.” He also worked with Aju Makita earlier this year in Netflix drama series “House of Ninjas.”

“Dareka ga Kono Machi de” consists of 4 episodes and will first air December 8, 2024 in Japan.

Kang Ha-Neul and Go Min-Si cast in drama “Your Taste”

Kang Ha-Neul and Go Min-Si are cast for lead roles in drama series “Your Taste” (literal title). Also cast for supporting roles are Kim Shin-Rok and Yoo Su-Bin. Director Han Jun-Hee (“D.P.“) participates in the series as a creator and  Park Dan-Hee (“Weak Hero Class 1“) directs the drama series. The food themed drama series follows two people from different walks of life, who come together to run a restaurant in Jeonju, a city known for its food.

Trailer and poster added for movie “How To Forget You” starring Ryota Bando and Nanase Nishino. The film deals with a young man named Subaru Morishita (Ryota Bando) who experiences deep loss after his fiance Miki (Nanase Nishino) dies in an accident. Filming for the movie began in Tokyo in 2023 and also took place in Hida and Takayama, Gifu Prefecture.

“How To Forget You” will be released January 17, 2025 in Japan.
