Yoo Ji-Tae, Woo Do-Hwan and Ryu Hwa-Young cast in KBS2 drama series “Mad Dog”

Yoo Ji-Tae, Woo Do-Hwan and Ryu Hwa-Young (former member of ’T-ara’) are all cast in lead roles for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Mad Dog.” The drama series will revolve around a team that tackles various cases of insurance fraud.

Yoo Ji-Tae will play Choi Kang-Woo. His nickname is Mad Dog and he leads the insurance claim team also named Mad Dog. He is a former detective. Woo Do-Hwan will play Kim Min-Joon. He is a former swindler and also very smart. To find out the truth behind the death of his older brother, he joined the Mad Dog team. Ryu Hwa-Young will play Jang Ha-Ri. She is a former gymnast and now works on the Mad Dog team. She often goes undercover during investigations.

“Mad Dog” first airs October, 2017 in South Korea.

Nana cast in drama series “Four Men”

Nana (‘After School’) is now cast in upcoming drama series “Four Men” co-starring Park Hae-Jin. For the drama series, Nana will play Yeo-Rin. She is a detective and filled with justice. She happens to meet a man who looks just like the man she loved. Park Hae-Jin will play 4 different characters in the drama series, including Jung Il-Hoon. He is a chief secretary for a large company.

Filming will begin November, 2017 and finish sometime in early 2018. Network which will air the drama series has yet to be announced.

Mao Inoue cast in Fuji TV drama series “Tomorrow’s Promise”

Mao Inoue is cast in new Fuji TV drama series “Tomorrow’s Promise” (literal title of “Ashita no Yakusoku”). In the drama series, Mao Inoue will play a 29-year-old high school counselor. She investigates the death of a male student who came to visit her. Also cast in the drama series are Asuka Kudo, Yua Shinkawa and Mitsuhiro Oikawa. Drama series will be directed by Masato Hijikata and scripted by Kazunao Furuya.

“Tomorrow’s Promise” first airs this October in Japan.

Shota Matsuda and Tae Min cast in Amazon drama series “Final Life”

Shota Matsuda and Tae Min (‘SHINee’) are cast for lead roles in new online Amazon drama series “Final Life.” This will be the first time for Tae Min to take part in a Japanese drama series. Also cast in supporting roles are Miori Takimoto, Shigeyuki Totsugi, Maho Nonami and Sho Aikawa.

In addition, a one minute teaser trailer for “Final Life” has been added on AsianWiki. “Final Life” first streams September 8, 2017 in Japan.

Release date set for live-action film “Along With The Gods”

Release date is now set for December 20, 2017 for upcoming live-action film “Along With The Gods.” The movie stars Ha Jung-Woo, Cha Tae-Hyun, Ju Ji-Hoon and Ma Dong-Seok. Story for the film is based on popular webcomic “Singwa Hamgge” by Joo Ho-Min and directed by Kim Yong-Hwa. Movie “Along With The Gods” is set in the afterlife and revolves around Angels of Deaths and trials held for recently deceased humans. The film will be released in two parts (with part 2 coming sometime during summer, 2018).
