Photos from first script reading for SBS drama series “While You Were Sleeping”

Here’s photos from the first script reading for upcoming SBS drama series “While You Were Sleeping,” which took place back on January 20, 2017 in Mokdong, Seoul, South Korea. The drama series will air as a pre-produced series with filming having taken place from February through July, 2017. In the drama series, Lee Jong-Suk plays Prosecutor Jung Jae-Chan and Bae Suzy plays Nam Hong-Joo. She can see the future in her dreams.

“While You Were Sleeping” will first air September 27, 2017 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and poster for movie “Uso wo Aisuru Onna”

Teaser trailer and poster added for upcoming movie “Uso wo Aisuru Onna” starring Masami Nagasawa and Issei Takahashi. Caption on the poster asks “Who are you?” Story for the film follows a woman (Masami Nagasawa) who learns that her boyfriend (Issei Takahashi) has created a web of lies about himself. Movie is written and directed by first time director Kazuhito Nakae.

“Uso wo Aisuru Onna” is now set for release January 20, 2018 in Japan.

Filming for movie “That’s Only My World” finishes

Filming for movie “That’s Only My World” (working & literal title) finished August 27, 2017 in South Korea. Filming took about 3 months to finish. After filming finished, Lee Byung-Hun stated “I dropped a lot of sweat and got rained on a lot during summer filming. All actors, actresses and staff members worked hard. I am glad to finish safely and hope it turns out into a good film.” The film is now in the post-production stage. In the film, Lee Byung-Hun plays washed up boxer Jo-Ha. His younger brother Jin-Tae, played by Park Jung-Min, has savant syndrome. Their mother played by Youn Yuh-Jung brings them together. Han Ji-Min plays a genius pianist who suddenly quits. Kim Sung-Ryoung plays Madame Hong. She is the owner of the house where Jin-Tae and In-Sook live. Movie is directed by Choi Sung-Hyun (screenwriter of “The Fatal Encounter“).

So Ji-Sub & Son Ye-Jin cast in movie “Be with You”

So Ji-Sub & Son Ye-Jin are now cast in remake film “Be with You.” Movie is based novel “Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu” by Takuji Ichikawa, which was previously adapted into 2004 film “Be with You” and 2005 TBS drama series “Be With You.” Also cast in supporting roles are Kim Ji-Hwan, Ko Chang-Seok, Lee Joon-Hyuk and Son Yeo-Eun. Story for the film revolves around a father (So Ji-Sub) and his son Ji-Ho (Kim Ji-Hwan). The wife (Son Ye-Jin) passed away, but promised she would be back on a rainy day one year later.

Filming for “Be with You” began August 12, 2017 and the movie will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Kengo Kora & Yuu Shirota cast in WOWOW drama series “Bye Bye Blackbird”

Kengo Kora & Yuu Shirota are cast in WOWOW drama series “Bye Bye Blackbird.” For Yuu Shirota, he will play a woman for the first time in his acting career. The drama series is based on 2010 novel “Bye Bye Blackbird” by Kotaro Isaka. The drama series will be directed by Yoshitaka Mori and screenplay adaptation by Kenichi Suzuki.

“Bye Bye Blackbird” will air sometime next year in Japan.

Son Ho-Jun and Jang Na-Ra cast in KBS2 drama series “Go Back Couple”

Son Ho-Jun and Jang Na-Ra are now cast for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Go Back Couple” (literal title).  The drama series will air Fridays and Saturdays at 11PM, beginning October 13, 2017. Story for “Go Back Couple” follows a married 38-year-old couple. They now can’t stand each other and regret marrying at a relatively young age. Somehow the couple travel through time when they first met in college.

Still images from movie “RV: Resurrected Victims”

Here’s 4 character still images from upcoming mystery-thriller film “RV: Resurrected Victims.” The character stills are of Kim Rae-Won, Kim Hae-Sook, Sung Dong-Il and Jeon Hye-Jin. In the upcoming film, Kim Rae-Won plays Prosecutor Jin-Hong. His mother was killed 7 years ago and he has been working to catch her killer. One day, his mother appears again and tries to kill him. A phenomenon known as “RVP” (Resurrected Victim Phenomeno) occurs where murder victims come back to avenge their deaths. Sung Dong-Il plays NIS Agent Son Young-Tae. He tries to cover up RVP cases. Jeon Hye-Jin plays Detective Lee Soo-Hyun. She doubts Jin-Hong is responsible for his mother’s death. Movie is based on novel “Jongryodweeotseubmida” by Park Ha-Ik and directed by Kwak Kyung-Taek.

In addition, “RV: Resurrected Victims” is now slotted for release sometime this October in South Korea.
