First script reading for upcoming SBS drama series “Wok of Love” took place March, 2018 in South Korea. The script reading featured main cast members Lee Joon-Ho (‘2PM’), Jang Hyuk, Jung Ryeo-Won, Lee Mi-Sook, Park Ji-Young, Lim Won-Hee and Jo Jae-Yun. The drama series has Lee Joon-Ho playing Chef Seo Poong. He worked at the top Chinese restaurant, but he now works at a small, failing Chinese restaurant. Jang Hyuk plays a former gangster, now a loan shark.

Here’s the first still image of Go Ara, L (‘INFINITE’) and Sung Dong-Il in upcoming JTBC drama series “Ms. Hammurabi.” The drama series features Go Ara playing enthusiastic rookie judge Park Cha O Reum, L playing judge Im Ba-Reun and Sung Dong-Il playing head judge Han Se-Sang. As you might suspect, the drama series is set around the Korean legal system which is a civil law based system.

Yurina Hirate (‘Keyakizaka46’) is cast for the lead role in live-action film “Hibiki.” Also cast in supporting roles are Keiko Kitagawa, Ayaka Wilson, Masanobu Takashima, Yuya Yagira, Toru Nomaguchi, Kazushige Komatsu, Daisuke Kuroda and Mizuki Itagaki. Movie is based on manga series “Hibiki: Shousetsuka ni Naru Houhou” by Mitsuharu Yanamoto and directed by Sho Tsukikawa (“Let Me Eat Your Pancreas“). The film follows 15-year-old Hibiki Akui (Yurina Hirate) as she submits a manuscript for a rookie of the year novel award and an editor (Keiko Kitagawa) that takes an interest in her novel.
“Hibiki” will be released September 14, 2018 in Japan via Toho.
Here’s the first still images of Jung Jae-Young and Jung Yoo-Mi in upcoming MBC drama series “Investigation Couple.” These still images are from Jung Jae-Young and Jung Yoo-Mi’s first day of filming for the drama series. In the drama series Jung Jae-Young plays forensic doctor Baek Beom and Jung Yoo-Mi plays a rookie prosecutor.

Masaki Suda and Kanna Hashimoto are cast in upcoming live-action sequel film “Gintama 2” starring Shun Oguri. For “Gintama 2,” Masaki Suda and Kanna Hashimoto will reprise their roles of Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura that they played in 2017 film “Gintama.” The story for “Gintama 2” has yet to be revealed.
“Gintama 2” will be released August 17, 2018 in Japan.
Movie “After Love,” starring Park Si-Hoo and Yoon Eun-Hye, is now scheduled to be released sometime this month in South Korea. Filming for the romance-melodrama movie took place from November 9, 2014 to February 1, 2015 and the film has picked and delayed different release dates over the past couple of years. With the recent sky-high popularity of the Park Si-Hoo led KBS2 drama series “My Golden Life,” releasing “After Love” soon would seem to be a wise move.

In addition, KBS2 has announced rapper BewhY will make a cameo appearance in the drama series. For his cameo appearance, BewhY will play a rapper. This is BewhY’s first acting role.
“Suits” first airs April 25, 2018 in South Korea.
Trailer for movie “Uma no Hone” starring Fujiko Kojima and Koji Kiryu. Movie is also written and directed by Koji Kiryu. The film follows a former punk rock singer (now a middle-aged man) and an idol group member who wants to become a singer-songwriter.
“Uma no Hone” will be released June 2, 2018 in Japan.
