Song Seung-Heon and Krystal offered lead roles in new drama series “Pan”

Song Seung-Heon and Krystal from ‘f(x)’ have been offered lead roles in new drama series “Pan” (Korean title). Currently, Song Seung-Heon is considering his offer and Krystal is positively considering her offer. If Song Song Seung-Heon accepts the offer, he will play lead male character Kang Ha-Ri. If Krystal accepts the offer, she will play the lead female character Cha A-Ryeong. The Korean title of the drama series is “Pan” which has multiple, different meanings. Cable channel OCN is currently in discussion to air the drama series.

International posters for Lee Chang-Dong directed film “Burning”

Here’s 3 International posters for upcoming Lee Chang-Dong directed film “Burning.” The posters features lead actors Yoo Ah-In, Steven Yeun and Jeon Song-Seo respectively. Movie “Burning” has also been invited to screen at the 71st Cannes Film Festival (May 8-19, 2018) in the “In Competition” section. This is the third Lee Chang-Dong film that will screen at Cannes following “Secret Sunshine” and “Poetry.”

“Burning” will be released sometime this May in South Korea.

First script reading for MBC drama series “Secrets and Lies”

First script reading for upcoming MBC weekday morning drama series “Secrets and Lies” (literal title) took place March 29, 2018 at MBC Dream Center in Ilsan, South Korea. The first script reading featured main cast members Seo Hae-Won, Oh Seung-A, Kim Kyung-Nam and Lee Joong-Moon among others. Before the first script reading began, Director Kim Jung-Ho stated “I hope when we finish this drama, we can get better and gain something. It can be as an actor or actress or relationship.”

“Secrets and Lies” first airs June, 2018 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Monday-Friday 7:15 AM time slot after “Enemies from the Past.”).

Nobuyuki Suzuki and Hayato Isomura cast in NTV live-action drama series “Kyo kara Ore wa”

Nobuyuki Suzuki and Hayato Isomura are cast for supporting roles in upcoming NTV live-action drama series “Kyo kara Ore wa” starring Kento Kaku. They will also join already cast supporting members Kentaro, Taiga and Yuma Yamoto.

For the drama series, Nobuyuki Suzuki will play Satoshi Katagiri. He is a rival of Takashi Mitsuhashi (Kento Kaku) and Shinji Ito (Kentaro). Satoshi Katagiri is the most powerful student at a high school for troubled students. Hayato Isomura will play Takeshi Sagara. He is the second most popular student at the same high school where Satoshi Katagiri attends.

“Kyo kara Ore wa” first airs October, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Kyoukaishi”

Teaser trailer added for movie “Kyoukaishi” starring the last Ren Osugi. The film features the last acting performance by Ren Osugi before he passed away on February 21, 2018 of a heart attack. The film also has Ren Osugi working as a producer for the first time in his career. In the movie “Kyoukaishi.”  Ren Osugi plays a prison chaplain. He works with death-row inmates. Movie is written and directed by Dai Sako.

“Kyoukaishi” will be released October 6, 2018 in Japan.

Here’s the first still images from upcoming tvN drama series “About Time” starring Lee Sang-Yoon and Lee Sung-Kyung. The four still images are from their first day of filming which took place February 12, 2018 at a restaurant in Gangnam District, Seoul, South Korea. Filming for this scene took place early in the morning. The scene has Lee Do-Ha (Lee Sang-Yoon) and Choi Michaela (Lee Sung-Kyung) sitting at different tables at the same restaurant and enjoying their respective lunches.

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Life”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Life” took place March 29, 2018 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Lee Dong-Wook, Cho Seung-Woo, Won Jin-A, Moon So-Ri and Yoo Jae-Myung all attended. The medical themed drama series has Lee Dong-Wook playing Ye Jin-Woo. He works as a doctor at the emergency medical center at Sangkook University Hospital. Cho Seung-Woo plays ambitious Koo Seung-Hyo. He is the President of Sangkook University Hospital. Won Jin-A plays Lee No-Eul. She works as a pediatrician at the same hospital.

Drama series “Life” will first air from July, 2018 in South Korea.

Shun Oguri cast in NHK drama series “Segodon”

Shun Oguri is cast in currently airing NHK taiga series “Segodon” starring Ryohei Suzuki. Shun Oguri will appear from episode 26 of “Segodon,” which is scheduled to air July 8, 2018. He will begin filming for the drama series from May, 2018. For “Segodon,” Shun Oguri will play real life historical figure Ryoma Sakamoto (January 3, 1836 – December 10, 1867). He aspired to help modernize Japan.

First script reading for JTBC drama “Sketch”

First script reading for upcoming JTBC drama series “Sketch” took place March, 2018 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading featured main cast members Rain, Lee Sun-Bin, Lee Dong-Gun, Jung Jin-Young, Kang Shin-Il and Lim Hwa-Young among others. The drama series follows two detectives who track a murder case. One of the detectives (played by Lee Sun-Bin) is able to see 3 days into future and sketches what she sees.

 

“Sketch” first airs May, 2018 in South Korea.
