Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “Neko to Jiichan” starring Shinosuke Tatekawa. The film also features Kou Shibasaki, Tasuku Emoto, Yuko Tanaka and Kaoru Kobayashi in supporting character roles. Movie is based on manga series Neko to Jiichan” by Nekomaki. The film follows a 70-year-old man played by Shinosuke Tatekawa who lives with his cat Tama on a small island.
“Neko to Jiichan” will be released February 22, 2019 in Japan.
Yeo Jin-Goo has been offered the lead male role in new tvN drama series “Masquerade.” The drama series is a remake of 2012 film “Masquerade” starring Lee Byung-Hun. Currently, Yeo Jin-Goo is considering the offer. If Yeo Jin-Goo accepts, he will play the dual roles of King Gwanghae and Clown Ha-Sun. Although the drama series is a remake of the movie, the drama series will have some significant changes to its screenplay.

Actor Kim Ji-Suk is cast for the lead male role in upcoming tvN drama series “Top Star Yoo Baek.” Kim Ji-Suk will play title character Yoo Baek. He is a top star and arrogant. He gets into trouble and travels to a faraway island. He falls in love with a woman there. Actress Jeon So-Mi has already received an offer to play the lead female role and she is still “positively considering” the offer.
“Top Star Yoo Baek” will first air November, 2018 in South Korea.
Lee Jang-Woo is cast in upcoming KBS2 drama series “My Only One” co-starring Uee. Lee Jang-Woo will play lead male character Wang Dae-Ryook in the drama series. His character is the director of a food company and also the successor. He gets involved with Kim Do-Ran (Uee). For Lee Jang-Woo, this is his first acting role since he was discharged from the South Korean military on January 25, 2018. Early working title for the drama series was “Areumdawoon Nae Pyeon” (“My Beautiful Ally”).
“My Only One” first airs September 15, 2018 in South Korea.
Teaser trailer and teaser posters for movie “The Negotiation” starring Son Ye-Jin and Hyun-Bin. Movie is directed by Lee Jong-Suk (no not that Lee Jong-Suk). Caption on the teaser poster states “The worst hostage situation occurs. The negotiation of a lifetime begins.”

OCN drama series “The Player,” starring Song Seung-Heon and Krystal (‘f(x)‘), is now scheduled to first air September 29, 2018 in South Korea. The drama series will takeover OCN’s Saturday and Sunday 10:20 PM time slot after “Voice 2” and will consist of 14 episodes. Story for the drama series will follow a team consisting of a swindler (Song Seung-Heon), driver (Krystal), hacker (Lee Si-Un) and fighter (Tae Won-Seock) as they go after stolen property hidden away by criminals.
Chun Jung-Myung and Yoon Eun-Hye are cast in drama series “Fluttering Warning” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Seolremjoouibo” by Seo Han-Kyeol. In addition, Han Go-Eun is cast for a major supporting character role. In the drama series, Chun Jung-Myung will play dermatologist Cha Woo-Hyun. Yoon Eun-Hye will play popular actress Yoon Yoo-Jung. They get involved in a scandal and enter into a contract to pretend they are in love.
Exact broadcasting station or airing dates have not yet been decided.
Aoi Morikawa and Yuu Shirota are cast in TBS-MBS live-action drama series “Bungaku Shojo.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Bungaku Shojo” by Mayaka Nakano. In the drama series, Aoi Mirikawa will play editor Kanoko Tsukishiro and Yuu Shirota will play novelist Saku Kagaya. The two fall in love.
“Bungaku Shojo” first airs September 9, 2018 in Japan.

The teaser trailer begins with caption in Korean “In the 22th year of King Jungjong’s reign, a mysterious monster appeared inside the palace.” Movie is directed by Huh Jong-Ho (“The Advocate: A Missing Body“).

Kim Hee-Seon, Kim Young-Kwang and Kim Hae-Sook are cast in tvN drama series “Room Nine.” The drama series will be directed by Ji Yeong-Su and screenplay written by Jung Sung-Hee.
In the drama series, Kim Hee-Seon plays ambitious attorney Eulji Hae-Yi. Kim Young-Kwan will play her husband Ki Yoo-Jin. He is a family doctor with a dark side. Lastly, Kim Hae-Sook will play death row convict Jang Hwa-Sa. When she meets attorney Eulji Hae-Yi in room 9 at her prison, they somehow exchange bodies.
“Room Nine” will first air September, 2018, taking over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “Mr. Sunshine.”
