Shin Ha-Kyun cast in MBC drama series “Luther”

Shin Ha-Kyun is cast in new MBC drama series “Luther.” The drama series is a remake of BBC TV series “Luther.” Shin Ha-Kyun will play lead male character Woo Tae-Seok. His character works as a detective whose only focus in life is solving his cases. Baro from idol group ‘B1A4’ has been offered a supporting character role and he is considering the offer. No word yet on who will play the lead female “psychopath” character.

 

“Luther” will first air October, 2018 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Bad Papa“).

Shin Dong-Wook & Kwon Yuri cast in MBC drama series “Dae Jang-Geum Is Watching”

Shin Dong-Wook & Kwon Yuri (‘Girls’ Generation’) are cast in MBC drama series “Dae Jang-Geum Is Watching” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Lee Yeol-Eum, Kim Hyun-Joon, Ki Do-Hoon and Jung Yi-Rang. The drama series imagines what the descendants of Dae Jang-Geum (main character in MBC drama series “A Jewel in the Palace“) would live like in the present day. Shin Dong-Wook will play the oldest of 3 siblings who are descendants of Dae Jang-Geum. He gets involved with a woman at work played by Kwon Yuri. The drama series is also the first MBC drama series to air weekly on Thursdays at 11:10 PM.

“Dae Jang-Geum Is Watching” first airs October 4, 2018 in South Korea.

Yuji Oda and Yuto Nakajima cast in Fuji TV drama series “Suits”

Yuji Oda and Yuto Nakajima (‘Hey! Say! JUMP’) are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Suits.” The drama series is a remake of U.S. cable TV series “Suits” and follows the Korean remake “Suits” from earlier this year. Yuji Oda will play Shogo Kai who is a veteran attorney, focused solely on winning cases. Yuto Nakajima will play Daiki Suzuki. He has high intelligence and a photographic like memory, but has resorted to petty crimes because of financial problems. Shogo Kai hires him to work as an attorney.

Filming begins August, 2018 and the drama series will first air October, 2018 in Japan.

First two teaser trailers for tvN drama series “100 Days My Prince”

First two teaser trailers added for upcoming tvN drama series “100 Days My Prince” starring Do Kyung-Soo (‘EXO’) and Nam Ji-Hyun. Teaser trailer #1-1 (with Nam Ji-Hyun standing near cherry blossom trees) starts with Do Kyung-Soo’s voice stating in Korean “I can have everything, but I could not have one thing. I forgot everything, but I could not forget one person.”

“100 Days My Prince” first airs September 10, 2018 in South Korea.

3 teaser posters for KBS2 drama series “The Ghost Detective”

Here’s 3 teaser posters for upcoming KBS2 drama series “The Ghost Detective” starring Daniel Choi, Park Eun-Bin and Lee Ji-Ah. The teaser posters all feature Daniel Choi. The drama series follows Detective Lee Da-Il (Daniel Choi) and his assistant Jung Yeo-Wool (Park Eun-Bin) as they meet a mysterious woman (Lee Ji-Ah). As you may surmise from the teaser posters, the genre for the drama series is horror-thriller.

“The Ghost Detective” first airs August 29, 2018 in South Korea.
