Main trailer and posters added for Disney+ drama series “Hyper Knife” starring Sul Kyung-Gu & Park Eun-Bin. The main trailer begins with Park Eun-Bin as Jeong Se-Ok, walking into an isolated room where she works as a shadow doctor. Main cast for Netflix drama “Wish Your Death”

Jeon So-Young, Kang Mi-Na, Baek Sun-Ho, Hyeon Woo-Seok, & Lee Hyo-Je are cast for Netflix drama series “Wish Your Death” (working title). The teen horror film revolves around five students who are warned of their coming deaths due to a curse from an app called Girigo. The students work to uncover the truth behind the app. Jeon So-Young will play Se-A, who is a track and field athlete and is secretly dating Gun-Woo (Baek Sun-Ho). Kang Mi-Na will play Na-Ri. She has an idol like appearance and is a popular student. Hyeon Woo-Seok will play Ha-Joon. He is good with programming and is the brains among the five students. Lee Hyo-Je plays Hyeong-Wook. He is mischievous and likes to play around with his friends.

“Wish Your Death” will premiere sometime next year on Netflix.

Teaser trailer and poster for Netflix movie “Bullet Train Explosion”

Teaser trailer and poster added for Netflix distributed movie “Bullet Train Explosion” starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. Movie is a remake of 1975 movie “The Bullet Train” starring Ken Takakura. Story for “Bullet Train Explosion” revolves around a train en rout to Tokyo that has a bomb placed somewhere on the train. A caller claims if the train goes below 100 km/h, the bomb will go off. Supporting cast members has also been announced for the film and they are Kanata Hosoda, Non, Machiko Ono, Jun Kaname, Hana Toyoshima, Takumi Saito, Daisuke Kuroda, Satoru Matsuo, Suzuka Ohgo, Matsuya Onoe, Naomasa Musaka, Pierre Taki, and Yajuro Bando.

“Bullet Train Explosion” will be released April 23, 2025 on Netflix.

Kim Hye-Soo, Cho Jin-Woong, & Lee Je-Hoon cast in tvN drama “The Second Signal”

Kim Hye-Soo, Cho Jin-Woong, & Lee Je-Hoon are cast in tvN sequel drama series “The Second Signal” (literal title). The drama series will air sometime in the first half of 2026, which will be 10 years after the original series “Signal” aired on tvN in 2016. Screenwriter Kim Eun-Hee, who wrote the orignal screenplay for “Signal,” as well as other hits like Netflix drama series “Kingdom” and SBS drama series “Revenant,” will also write the screenplay for the sequel drama series. An Tae-Jin, who directed 2022 movie “The Night Owl,” will direct “The Second Signal.” Story for the sequel drama series has not yet been revealed. Production for the drama series is expected to begin shortly.

Kanna Hashimoto & Shohei Miura cast in TV Asahi drama “Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte”

Drama series is based on novel series “Ameku Takao” by Mikito Chinen (“Patient Chart Prayer“). The medical-mystery drama series will have Kanna Hashimoto play lead character Takao Ameku. She is a medical doctor and a diagnostician. Although highly gifted, she has autism spectrum disorder, which makes her a little hard to handle at times. Shohei Miura will play Yu Takanashi. He is a physician and begins to work with Takao Ameku.

“Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte” will first air April 22, 2025 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Tuesday 9PM time slot after “Mr. Housekeeper, Mitazono Season 7“).

Joe Odagiri and Akari Takaishi cast in movie “Natsu no Suna no Ue”

Joe Odagiri and Akari Takaishi are cast in movie “Natsu no Suna no Ue.” The film is based on 1998 theatrical play “Natsu no Suna no Ue” scripted by Masataka Matsuda and directed by Shinya Tamada (“Lust in a Karaoke Box“). Also cast for supporting roles are Takako Matsu, Hikari Mitsushima, Fumiya Takahashi, Naotaro Moriyama, & Ken Mitsuishi. Story for the “Natsu no Suna no Ue” will have Joe Odagiri play Osamu Koura. After losing his young son, he life came to a complete stop. His sister (Hikari Mitsushima) then asks him to take care of her 17-year-old daughter Yuko (Akari Takaishi).

“Natsu no Suna no Ue” will be released July 4, 2025 in Japan.

Air date and still images for KBS2 drama “24 Hour Gym”

Ep.1 air date and first still images for KBS2 drama series “24 Hour Gym” (literal title). The drama series is now scheduled to first air April 30, 2025 in South Korea, following “Villains Everywhere” in KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 9:50 PM time slot. Meanwhile, above and below are the first still images of Lee Jun-Young, Jung Eun-Ji, Lee Mi-Do, Lee Seung-Woo, Park Sung-Yeon, Lee Ji-Hye, and Hong Yun-Hwa. The romance-comedy, is set at an old neighborhood gym that was recently bought by former bodybuilder Do Hyun-Joong (Lee Jung-Young). Jung Eun-Ji plays Lee Mi-Ran, who is one of his new customers.
