Cha Tae-Hyun and Lee Sun-Bin are cast in OCN drama series “Further Investigation” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Kang Hyo-Jin (“Twilight Gangsters “) and scripted by Lee Yoo-Jin (“The Missing“). The drama series will revolve around a detective (Cha Tae-Hyun) and TV crime program PD (Lee Sun-Bin) working together on unsolved cases.
“Further Investigation” will consist of 12 episodes and first air sometime during the first half of 2020 in South Korea.
Teaser trailer #7 added for tvN drama series “Psychopath Diary” starring Yoon Si-Yoon, Jung In-Sun and Park Sung-Hoon. Teaser trailer #7 focuses on Park Sung-Hoon as serial killer Seo In-Woo. He starts off the teaser trailer with narration that says in Korean “Lost diary. It is my diary which nobody should see.” Meanwhile, below are still images of Yoon Si-Yoon in the drama series. The still images are from a scene where Yook Dong-Sik (Yoon Si-Yoon) goes to a crime scene where he witnessed a murder prior to losing his memory.

Moka Kamishiraishi and Kanata Hosoda are cast in live-action film “Kid Does Not Understand” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Kodomo wa Wakatte Agenai” by Retto Tajima and directed by Shuichi Okita (“The Mohican Comes Home“). The film will follow high school student Minami Sakuta (Moka Kamishiraishi) and her school mate Shohei Moji (Kanata Hosoda). They try to find Minami Sakuta’s birth father and also become first loves. Filming for the movie took place from July, 2019 to August, 2019. This is director’s Shuichi Okita’s first live-action action film adaptation.
“Kid Does Not Understand” will be released sometime during summer, 2020 in Japan.
Bae Suzy and Nam Joo-Hyuk have been offered lead roles in tvN drama series “Sandbox” (working title). Both performers are currently “positively considering” their offers. For Bae Suzy, she has previously worked with “Sandbox” screenwriter Park Hye-Ryun in 2011 KBS2 drama series “Dream High” and 2017 SBS drama series “While You Were Sleeping.” The drama series will be a romance themed story, set in the world of tech entrepreneurs.
“Sandbox” first airs sometime in the second half of 2020 in South Korea.
Haru is cast in 3 episode NHK drama series “Ru: Taiwan Express.” The drama series is based on 2012 novel “Ru” by Shuichi Yoshida (“Villain“). Production is shared between Japan and Taiwan. For the drama series, Haru will play Haruka Tada. She is assigned to work in Taiwan after last visiting the country 6 years earlier. Back then she met a Taiwanese man Eric, but lost contact wit him.
“Ru: Taiwan Express” will air May, 2020 in Japan.
English subtitled teaser trailer added for movie “Ashfall” (English title) starring Lee Byung-Hun, Ha Jung-Woo, Ma Dong-Seok, Jeon Hye-Jin & Bae Suzy. The disaster film with the literal title of “Baekdu Mountain” revolves around the sudden eruptions of a volcano on Baekdu Mountain.
“Ashfall” will be released December, 2019 in South Korea.
Teaser trailer #2 added for JTBC drama series “Chocolate” starring Yoon Kye-Sang and Ha Ji-Won. Teaser trailer #2 starts off with the Yoon Kye-Sang’s voice stating in Korean “I thought that I would have been able to save (her)…” Around the 13 second mark, Ha Ji-Won states “I began to wonder about him.” Meanwhile, below are still images of Yoon Kye-Sang and Ha Ji-Won from the drama series.

“Woman of 9.9 Billion” is now scheduled to first air November 27, 2019 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Wednesday & Thursday 10PM time slot after “When the Camellia Blooms“).
Teaser trailer added for movie “Mask Ward” (literal title) starring Kentaro Sakaguchi & Mei Nagano. Movie is based on 2014 novel “Kamen Byoto” by Mikito Chinen and directed by Hisashi Kimura (“Ninkyo Gakuen“). In addition four new supporting cast members has been announced for the film: Rio Uchida, Noriko Eguchi, Ryohei Otani, and Masanobu Takashima. Rio Uchida and Noriko Eguchi will play nurses at the nursing hospital where a masked intruder takes them hostage. Ryohei Otani will play Doctor Tsukasa Kosakai and Masanobu Takashima will play Hospital Director Tadokoro.
“Mask Ward” will be released March 6, 2020 in Japan.
