Teaser trailer for movie “Baekdu Mountain”

First teaser trailer for disaster film “Baekdu Mountain” starring Lee Byung-Hun, Ha Jung-Woo, Ma Dong-Seok, Jeon Hye-Jin and Bae Suzy. The film is co-directed by Lee Hae-Jun (“Castaway on the Moon“) and Kim Byung-Seo (“Cold Eyes“). The film revolves around volcano eruptions on Baekdu Mountain which threatens the Korean peninsula. Around the 9 second mark of the teaser trailer, a voice states in Korean “Breaking news. A volcano on Baekdu Mountain erupted.” Below is the movie’s “Launching” teaser poster.

“Baekdu Mountain” will be released sometime this December in South Korea.

Teaser poster for movie “Forbidden Dream”

First teaser poster added for movie “Forbidden Dream” starring Choi Min-Sik & Han Suk-Kyu. Movie is directed by Hur Jin-Ho. This is the third film starring Choi Min-Sik & Han Suk-Kyu following 1997 film “No. 3” and 1999 film “Shiri.” Director Hur Jin-Ho and Han Suk-Kyu previously worked together in 1998 film “Christmas in August.” Movie “Forbidden Dream” is a period film and based on the true story of King Sejong (Han Suk-Kyu) and inventor Jang Yeong-Sil (Choi Min-Sik). Caption on the “launching” teaser poster states in Korean “Two geniuses of Joseon, King Sejong and Jang Yeong-Sil.”

“Forbidden Dream” is now scheduled for release December, 2019 in South Korea.

Keiko Kitagawa cast in mystery film “First Love”

Keiko Kitagawa is cast in mystery film “First Love.” The film is based on novel “First Love” by Rio Shimamoto. This is Rio Shimamoto’s third novel to be adapted into a feature film, following 2017 movie “Narratage” and 2020 movie “Red.” Her novel “First Love” is the winner of the 159th Naoki Prize. Popular movie director Yukihiko Tsutsumi (“Trick: The Movie“) will helm the movie version. For the film, Keiko Kitagawa will play psychologist Yuki Makabe. She researches into a case where a university student girl murdered her father. Filming for “First Love” began October, 2019 and finishes mid-November, 2019. Shooting takes place in the Kanto area of Japan.

“First Love” will be released sometime during 2021 in Japan.

First teaser trailer and teaser poster added for JTBC drama series “Diary of a Prosecutor” starring Lee Sun-Kyun and Jung Ryeo-Won. Caption on the teaser poster states “It became clear. Now it is war.”

Meanwhile, pictures below are from the first script reading of the drama series which took place July, 2019 at JTBC Building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading included main cast members Lee Sun-Kyun, Jung Ryeo-Won, Lee Sung-Jae, Kim Kwang-Kyu, Lee Sang-Hee, Jeon Sung-Woo, Baek Hyun-Joo, Ahn Chang-Hwan, Ahn Eun-Jin, and Jung Jae-Sung.

Koichi Sato, Yuriko Ishida, & Hidetoshi Nishijima cast in movie “Silent Tokyo: And So This Is Xmas”

Koichi Sato, Yuriko Ishida, and Hidetoshi Nishijima are cast in movie “Silent Tokyo: And So This Is Xmas.” The film is based on 2016 novel “And So This Is Xmas” by Takehiko Hata (“Unfair: The Movie“) and directed by Takafumi Hatano (“SP: The Motion Picture“). Story for the film is set on Christmas Eve where a series of bombings occur. Filming for the began on October 28, 2019. A movie set in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture has been created to recreate the streets of Shibuya, Tokyo. About 10,000 extras are being used on that movie set.

“Silent Tokyo: And So This Is Xmas” will be released winter, 2020 in Japan.

Nana Seino & Ryusei Yokohama cast in NTV drama series “In The World Which Is Neither White Nor Black, Panda Laughs”

Nana Seino and Ryusei Yokohama are cast in NTV drama series “In The World Which Is Neither White Nor Black, Panda Laughs” (“Shiro demo Kuro demo Nai Sekai de, Panda wa Warau”). The drama series features a unique original screenplay and will be directed by Mitsutaka Endo (“The Cliff: A Man’s Judgement“). The unique story, recalling something that Satoshi Miki might have thought of, has Nana Seino playing Miss Panda and Ryusei Yokohama playing her male keeper. They attempt to uncover a mystery involving a secret.

“In The World Which Is Neither White Nor Black, Panda Laughs” will first air January, 2020 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after “Nippon Noir.”).

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Itaewon Class”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Itaewon Class,” starring Park Seo-Joon, Kim Da-Mi, Yoo Jae-Myung, and Kwon Na-Ra, took place August, 2019 at JTBC Building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading were led director Kim Sung-Yoon and screenwriter Jo Gwang-Jin. Main cast members that attended the first script reading included Park Seo-Joon, Kim Da-Mi, Yoo Jae-Myung, Kwon Na-Ra, Kim Dong-Hee, Ahn Bo-Hyun, Kim Hye-Eun, Ryoo Kyung-Soo, and Lee Joo-Young. The drama series is based on webcomic “Itaewon Class” by Jo Gwang-Jin (he also writes the screenplay adaptation). For Park Seo-Joon, he stated at the first script reading “Now, I can feel that the drama series is beginning with the first script reading practice. I am fluttering. With this fluttering mind, I will be at my best while shooting.”

“Itaewon Class” fwill irst air February, 2020 in South Korea.

Ep.1 trailer for JTBC drama series “Chief of Staff 2”

Ep.1 trailer added for JTBC drama series “Chief of Staff 2” starring Lee Jung-Jae and Shin Min-A. In season 2, Lee Jung-Jae as Jang Tae-Joon has now moved from chief of staff to a lawmaker. Around the 24 second mark of the ep.1 trailer, Lee Jung-Jae’s voice appears and he states “Let’s start now. I will give back as much as I have.” Meanwhile, above is a group poster of the drama series with Lee Jung-Jae, Shin Min-A, Lee Elijah, Kim Dong-Joon, Kim Kap-Soo, Jung Woong-In, Jeong Man-Sik, Park Hyo-Joo, and Jo Bok-Rae. Jeong Man-Sik, Park Hyo-Joo, and Jo Bok-Rae play characters that did not appear in the first season.
