Kei Tanaka & Tomoya Nakamura cast in TV Asahi drama special “Discord”

Kei Tanaka and Tomoya Nakamura are cast in TV Asahi drama special “Discord” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2016 novel  “Fukyowaon: Kyoto, Keiji to Kenji no Jiken Techo” by Takeaki Daimon (“Hitoya no Toge“) and directed by Kentaro Otani (“You Are Brilliant Like A Spica“). The drama series will have Kei Tanaka playing detective Yusuke Kawakami and Tomoya Nakamura playing prosecutor Masato Karasawa. They are brothers, but they were separated at an early age.

“Discord” will air sometime next year in Japan.

Ep.1 trailer added for tvN drama series “Catch The Ghost” starring Moon Geun-Young and Kim Sun-Ho. Towards the end of the trailer, Moon Geun-Young, while driving a moped, asks “Why don’t you take a patrol car?” Kim Son-Ho, who is riding on the back of the moped, replies “For our subway police team, we don’t have patrol cars. We have to take the subway.” Meanwhile, below are new still images of Moon Geun-Young in the drama series.

Main trailer for movie “Find”

Trailer added for suspense thriller “Find” starring Moe Tsurumi, Fuka Kumazawa and Hana Hanamiya. Movie is directed by Shinpei Yamasaki (“Vampire Night“). The film is set an abandoned church in the forest where 8 girls wake up to find themselves. A masked man then attempts to kill the girls one by one. The lead actresses come from a variety of idol groups like “Niji no Conquistador,” “Task have Fun” and “APPARE! HARAJUKU.”

“Find” will be released November 15, 2019 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Sub-zero Wind”

Teaser trailer added for movie “Sub-zero Wind” starring Kwon Han-Sol, Ok Su-Boon & Shin Dong-Mi. The film is directed by first time feature film director Kim Yu-Ri. The film had its world premiere at the 2018 Busan International Film Festival and also screened internationally at the New York Asian Film Festival and the Festival International des Cinemas d’Asie de Vesoul where it received the jury prize. The film is spread out over a 7 year period and follows two girls who deal with difficult family lives.

“Sub-zero Wind” will have its general release sometime this November in South Korea.

First teaser trailer for KBS2 drama series “Gracious Revenge”

First teaser trailer added for KBS2 weekday evening drama series “Gracious Revenge” starring Choi Myoung-Gil and Cha Ye-Ryun. The teaser trailer begins with Cha Ye-Ryun’s voice stating in Korean “Mother, I will do well. Mother, just stand behind me and watch me. How I will get revenge on them.” Choi Myoung-Gil’s voice then appears and she replies “Yes .. gracefully.” Meanwhile, photos below are from the script reading for the drama series which took place September, 2019 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea.

“Gracious Revenge” will first air November 4, 2019 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday – Friday 7:50 PM time slot after “A Place in the Sun“).

Song Ji-Hyo offered lead role in JTBC drama series “Begin Again”

Song Ji-Hyo has been offered the lead female role in JTBC drama series “Begin Again.” Currently, Song Ji-Hyo is “positively considering” the offer. The drama series will be Kim Do-Hyung. He and Song Ji-Hyo previously worked together in 2006 MBC drama series “Princess Hours.” If Song Ji-Hyo accepts she will play No Ae-Jung. She hasn’t dated in 14 years, but 4 men approach her.

“Begin Again” first airs sometime in the first half of next year in South Korea.

Singer-actress Sulli passes away Oct. 14 ….

With sadness, we’re writing that singer-actress Sulli (birth name Choi Jin Ri) was found dead today around 3:20 PM. According to the police, Sulli’s manager was the person who made the discovery at Sulli’s home in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Police are investigating her death as a suicide. Sulli was a member of popular Kpop girl group “f(x)” and also acted in movies and drama series. She most recently had a cameo appearance in tvN drama series “Hotel Del Luna.”
