Namgung Min & Han Ye-Seul offered lead roles in tvN drama series “Day and Night”

Namgung Min and Han Ye-Seul have been offered lead roles in tvN drama series “Day and Night” (literal title). Currently, both performers are considering their offers. If Namgung Min accepts his offer, he will play lead male character Do Jung-Woo. His character is scripted as an excellent investigator. If Han Ye-Seul accepts her offer, she will play Kong Hye-Won. Her character works as the lieutenant of a special police team.

“Day and Night” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for OCN drama series “Tell Me What You Saw”

An early teaser trailer has been added for upcoming OCN drama series “Tell Me What You Saw” starring Jang Hyuk, Sooyoung, and Jin Seo-Yeon. The teaser trailer doesn’t show any of the actors or have any footage from the drama series, but Jang Hyuk’s voice appears around the 58 second mark and he states in Korean “Memory is distorted, but I can see only the truth at the scene.” Filming for the drama series is currently ongoing. While filming the drama series, a car accident occurred on November 28, 2019, around 11 AM and 8 staff members were injured in the accident.

“Tell Me What You Saw” will air sometime during the first half of next year in South Korea.

Character trailer for movie “Mr. Zoo”

Character trailer and poster added for upcoming comedy film “Mr. Zoo” starring Lee Sung-Min & Kim Seo-Hyung. The film is written and directed by Kim Tae-Yoon (“New Trial“). The film should not be confused with upcoming film “Secret Zoo” which deals with workers pretending to be animals to boost zoo ticket sales.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Joo Tae-Joo (Lee Sung-Min) is an ace agent for the NIS. He carries out an assignment to guard a VIP. Due to a sudden accident, the VIP disappears and Joo Tae-Joo mistakenly falls down. After the fall, Joo Tae-Joo can hear and understand animals when they talk. With the help of military dog Ali, Joo Tae-Joo tries to find the VIP.

“Mr. Zoo” will be released January, 2020 in South Korea.

Lee Dong-Wook & Jo Bo-Ah cast in tvN drama series “Tale of The Nine-Tailed Fox”

Lee Dong-Wook & Jo Bo-Ah are now cast in tvN drama series “Tale of The Nine-Tailed Fox” (working & literal title). The fantasy based drama series will have Lee Dong-Wook playing a gumiho aka nine-tailed fox. His character was once a mountain god, who governed the mountains in Korea, but he is now a nine-tailed fox. He is an amazing athlete and often overzealous in using force while doing his tasks. Jo Bo-Ah will play Nam Ji-A. She is an enthusiastic television PD. The drama series will be directed by Kang Shin-Hyo (“The Heirs“).

“Tale of The Nine-Tailed Fox” will air sometime during the second half of 2020 in South Korea.

Main poster and trailer added for “First Love” starring Masataka Kubota and Sakurako Konishi. The film is directed by Takashi Miike. Trailer for “First Love” begins with a doctor telling boxer Reo Katsuragi (Masataka Kubota) that he doesn’t have much time left to live. Below are still images from the upcoming film.

“First Love” already screened at the 51st Directors’ Fortnight held in parallel to the Cannes Film Festival and the film will be released February 28, 2020 in Japan.

Masao Kusakari cast in WOWOW drama series “Operation Z”

Masao Kusakari is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “Operation Z.” The drama series is based on 2017 novel novel “Operation Z” by Jin Mayama (“Hagetaka: Road to Rebirth“) and directed by Shosuke Murakami (“Pandora IV: AI War“). For the drama series, Masao Kusakari will play Prime Minister  Takamori Ejima. The drama series will consist of 6 episode and first air March, 2020 in Japan.

Here’s three character posters for upcoming movie “The Man Standing Next” starring Lee Byung-Hun. The character posters are of Lee Byung-Hun as KCIA Chief Kim Kyu-Pyeong, Kwak Do-Won as ex-KCIA Chief Park Yong-Kak, and Lee Hee-Joon as Presidential Security Service Chief Kwak Sang-Cheon. For Lee Byung-Hun’s character poster, caption states in Korean “Mr. President, what do you want me to do? Trailer and poster added for live-action film “Fancy” starring Masatoshi Nagase, Masataka Kubota, and Sakurako Konishi. Movie is based on story “Fancy” from manga collection  “Gakkou”  by Naoki Yamamoto and directed by Masaoki Hirota. The film follows the bizarre relationship between mailman Akira Takasu (Masatoshi Nagase), poet Penguin (Masataka Kubota) and his female fan (Sakurako Konishi).
