Lee Dong-Wook & Jo Bo-Ah cast in tvN drama series “Tale of The Nine-Tailed Fox”

Lee Dong-Wook & Jo Bo-Ah are now cast in tvN drama series “Tale of The Nine-Tailed Fox” (working & literal title). The fantasy based drama series will have Lee Dong-Wook playing a gumiho aka nine-tailed fox. His character was once a mountain god, who governed the mountains in Korea, but he is now a nine-tailed fox. He is an amazing athlete and often overzealous in using force while doing his tasks. Jo Bo-Ah will play Nam Ji-A. She is an enthusiastic television PD. The drama series will be directed by Kang Shin-Hyo (“The Heirs“).

“Tale of The Nine-Tailed Fox” will air sometime during the second half of 2020 in South Korea.

Main poster & trailer for movie “First Love”

Main poster and trailer added for “First Love” starring Masataka Kubota and Sakurako Konishi. The film is directed by Takashi Miike. Trailer for “First Love” begins with a doctor telling boxer Reo Katsuragi (Masataka Kubota) that he doesn’t have much time left to live. Below are still images from the upcoming film.

“First Love” already screened at the 51st Directors’ Fortnight held in parallel to the Cannes Film Festival and the film will be released February 28, 2020 in Japan.

Masao Kusakari cast in WOWOW drama series “Operation Z”

Masao Kusakari is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “Operation Z.” The drama series is based on 2017 novel novel “Operation Z” by Jin Mayama (“Hagetaka: Road to Rebirth“) and directed by Shosuke Murakami (“Pandora IV: AI War“). For the drama series, Masao Kusakari will play Prime Minister  Takamori Ejima. The drama series will consist of 6 episode and first air March, 2020 in Japan.

Character posters for movie “The Man Standing Next”

Here’s three character posters for upcoming movie “The Man Standing Next” starring Lee Byung-Hun. The character posters are of Lee Byung-Hun as KCIA Chief Kim Kyu-Pyeong, Kwak Do-Won as ex-KCIA Chief Park Yong-Kak, and Lee Hee-Joon as Presidential Security Service Chief Kwak Sang-Cheon. For Lee Byung-Hun’s character poster, caption states in Korean “Mr. President, what do you want me to do? Chief of KCIA Kim Kyu-Pyeong.” Kwak Do-Won’s character poster states “The president does not let no.2 live. Former Chief of KCIA Park Yong-Kak.” Lastly, character poster for Lee Hee-Joon states “The president is the nation. My job is to protect the nation. Trailer & poster for live-action film “Fancy”

Trailer and poster added for live-action film “Fancy” starring Masatoshi Nagase, Masataka Kubota, and Sakurako Konishi. Movie is based on story “Fancy” from manga collection  “Gakkou”  by Naoki Yamamoto and directed by Masaoki Hirota. The film follows the bizarre relationship between mailman Akira Takasu (Masatoshi Nagase), poet Penguin (Masataka Kubota) and his female fan (Sakurako Konishi). 

“Fancy” will be released February 7, 2020.

Teaser trailer #1 for Netflix drama series “Kingdom Season 2”

5 different versions of teaser trailer #1 added for Netflix drama series “Kingdom Season 2” starring Ju Ji-Hoon and Bae Doo-Na. The drama series is based on webcomic “Burning Hell Shinui Nara” by Kim Eun-Hee  and a sequel to 2019 Netflix drama series “Kingdom.” The five teaser trailers are titled (literal translations) “Monster King,” “Blood of Joseon,” “Greed,” “Crisis,” and “Fate.”

“Kingdom Season 2” will be available to stream from March, 2020.

Teaser trailer for MBC drama series “The Game: Towards Zero”

First teaser trailer added for MBC drama series “The Game: Towards Zero” (literal title) starring TaecYeon, Lee Yeon-Hee, and Lim Ju-Hwan. The first teaser trailer begins with Lee Yeon-Hee asking in Korean “So how did (that person) die?,” (0:02) TaecYeon’s replies “(That person) is buried alive and dies.” (0:08) Lee Yeon-Hee states “I will show that it is changeable,” (0:10) TaecYeon states “Preordained destiny does not change. You will know soon.” (0:17) TaecYeon states “If I look into a person’s eye, I can see the moment right before that person dies.”

Meanwhile, below are the first still images of TaecYeon in the drama series. He plays Tae-Pyeong who is a prophet.

Teaser trailer #2 added for SBS drama series “Dr. Romantic 2” starring Han Suk-Kyu, Ahn Hyo-Seop, and Lee Sung-Kyung. Teaser trailer #2 begins with Ahn Hyo-Seop’s voice stating in Korean “Strange hospital, strange adults, and strange person.” Meanwhile, below are still images of Han Suk-Kyu and Lee Sung-Kyung in the drama series. Filming for this scene took place shooting which took place November, 2019 at a hospital in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Lee Sun Kyung plays new character Cha Eun-Jae. She is a second year fellow for surgery. Han Suk-Kyu plays title character Teacher Kim.

“Dr. Romantic 2” first airs January 6, 2020 in South Korea.
