Upcoming drama series “The Moon Rising River” (literal title), starring Kim So-Hyun & Ji Soo, is now set to air on KBS2 sometime during the first half of 2021. The drama series will take over KBS2’s Monday & Tuesday 9:30 PM time slot sometime after “Royal Secret Agent.” Actor Kang Ha-Neul will also make a special appearance in the historical drama series as the father of the lead male character.

Movie is based on manga series “Mune ga Narunoha Kimi no Sei” by Risa Konno and directed by Hiroto Takahashi. Caption on the teaser poster states “When I realized I was continuously chasing you with my eyes.”

Poster and trailer added for live-action film “Brave: Gunjyo Senki” starring Mackenyu Arata, Hirona Yamazaki, Haruma Miura, & Kenichi Matsuyama. Movie is based on manga series “Gunjyo Senki” by Masaki Kasahara and directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro (“Bayside Shakedown“). The film follows a high school that gets zapped by lightning and travels back in time to the Sengoku Period. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Hourglass” by rock band Uverworld.” The theme song “Hourglass” plays during the main trailer.

The film is based on the true story of scholar Jung Yak-Jeon (1758-1816) and fisherman Jang Chang-Dae. Movie is directed by Lee Joon-Ik and scripted by Kim Se-Kyum. Director Lee Joon-Ik and screenwriter Kim Se-Kyum previously worked together for 2018 movie “Sunset In My Hometown.”

Filming for JTBC drama series “Sisyphus: The Myth,” starring Cho Seung-Woo & Park Shin-Hye, completed recently in South Korea. The drama series began filming May, 2020. The drama series is currently undergoing post production work. The script is a sci-fi-mystery story with Park Shin-Hye playing a warrior like character from the future. She travels to the present day to save the lead male character played by Cho Seung-Woo.
“Sisyphus: The Myth” will first air sometime during the first half of next year, following “Run On” in JTBC’s Wednesday & Thursday 9PM time slot.

Director Kim Ki-Duk has passed away today December 11, 2020 due to covid-19. He died in Latvia, where he was staying since November 20, 2020. Kim Ki-Duk was looking to purchase a home in that country and obtain a residence permit. Kim Ki-Duk directed dozens of award winning indie films including “The Isle,” “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring” and “Pieta.”

Nobuyuki Suzuki is cast in TV Tokyo-Amazon Prime live-action drama series “A Bad Boy Drinks Tea!” Also cast for supporting roles are Toshiki Seto , Minori Hagiwara and Rinka Kumada. The drama series is based on manga series “Ocha ni Gosu” by Hiroyuki Nishimori (“From Today, It’s My Turn!!“). For the drama series, Nobuyuki Suzuki will play first year high school student Masaya Funabashi. He has an intimidating physical appearance and was notorious for fighting in his middle school days. He then gets recruited for the tea ceremony club at his high school.
“A Bad Boy Drinks Tea!” will consist of 12 episodes and will stream on Amazon Prime Video from March 5, 2021. The drama series will also air on TV Tokyo sometime next year.
