Kyoko Saito cast in TV Asahi drama “Nukarumi no Shokutaku”

Kyoko Saito is cast for her first starring role in TV Asahi drama series “Nukarumi no Shokutaku.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Nukarumi no Shokutaku” by Inako. Kyoko Saito, who is a member of idol group Hinatazaka46, will play lead character Mia Nejiki. She is a young woman who is involved in an affair with the manager at her supermarket workplace.

“Nukarumi no Shokutaku” will first air October 21, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer and poster for movie “Ichiko”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Ichiko” starring Hana Sugisaki & Ryuya Wakaba. The film will screen at the upcoming 28th Busan International Film Festival (October 4-13, 2023) in the Jiseok Section. Movie is directed by Akihiro Toda (“The Name“). The movie “Ichiko,” follows a man who searches for his girlfriend who disappeared the day after he proposed to her. He then learns about her traumatic past.

“Ichiko” will be released December 8, 2023 in Japan.

First teaser trailer for Disney+ drama series “The Worst Of Evil” starring Ji Chang-Wook, Wi Ha-Joon, & Lim Se-Mi. The teaser trailer begins with Ji Chang-Wook as Detective Park Joon-Mo asking “Are you Jung Ki-Cheol?,” while looking straight into the eyes of Wi Ha-Joon as Crime Boss Jung Ki-Cheol. Fuma Kikuchi cast in NTV drama “Zeicho”

Fuma Kikuchi is cast in NTV live-action drama series “Zeicho.” The drama series is based on manga series “Zeicho!: Nouzeika Daisan Shuunoukakari” by Yui Shin. For the live-action drama series version, Fuma Kikuchi will play main character Soichiro Aiba. He works as a tax collector at city hall and tries to find ways to help people, while collecting overdue tax payments.

“Zeicho: Haraenai ni wa Wake ga Aru” first airs October 14, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “Golden Kamuy” starring Kento Yamazaki & Anna Yamada. Movie is based on manga series “Golden Kamuy” by Satoru Noda and directed by Sigeaki Kubo (“High & Low The Movie“). The first group of supporting cast has also been announced for the film and they include Gordon Maeda, Yuma Yamoto, Asuka Kudo, Shuntaro Yanagi, Ryohei Otani, Katsuya, Katsumi Kiba, Hisako Ohkata, Makita Sports, Hiroshi Tamaki, and Hiroshi Tachi. The script is set in Hokkaido, Japan during the late Meiji era (~1910) with various groups chasing after gold that was hidden by a criminal.

“Golden Kamuy” is now set for release January 19, 2024 in Japan.

Jang Ki-Yong & Chun Woo-Hee are cast in JTBC drama series “Although I Am Not a Hero” (literal title). The drama series features a fantasy-romance screenplay written by Joo Hwa-Mi (“My Shy Boss“) and directed by Jo Hyun-Tak (“SKY Castle“). For actor Jang Ki-Yong, “Although I Am Not A Hero,” will mark his first acting role since he was discharged from the South Korean military on February 22, 2023. His last acting roles were 2021 Netflix movie “Sweet & Sour” and SBS drama series “Now, We Are Breaking Up.”

“Although I Am Not a Hero” will air sometime next year in South Korea.
