Jang Na-Ra & Son Ho-Jun cast in TV Chosun drama “My Happy End”

Jang Na-Ra and Son Ho-Jun are cast for lead roles in new TV Chosun drama series “My Happy End” (literal title). Also cast for second leads are So E-Hyun and Lee Ki-Taek. The drama series features an original screenplay that falls in the human psychological thriller genre. For “My Happy End,” Jang Na-Ra will play Seo Jae-Won. She seems to have everything career wise and in personal life, but everything changes for her. Son Ho-Jun will play Heo Soon-Young, who is married to Seo Jae-Won.

“My Happy End” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Daiki Shigeoka & Yuko Araki cast in TV Asahi drama “Tanshin Hanabi”

Daiki Shigeoka & Yuko Araki are cast in TV Asahi live-action drama series “Tanshin Hanabi.” The drama series is based on manga series “Tanshin Hanabi: Sakuragi Shun no Tanshin Funin Kagoshima” by Takashi Iwashige. In “Tanshin Hanabi,”  Daiki Shigeoka & Yuko Araki will play Shun Sakuragi & Hana Takeda respectively. They are first loves from their junior high school days and meet again as adults. Both are married.

“Tanshin Hanabi” will first air October 14, 2023 in Japan.

Character teaser trailer added for ENA drama series “Evillive” starring Shin Ha-Kyun, Kim Young-Kwang, & Shin Jae-Ha. The character teaser trailer features Shin Ha-Kyun as Lawyer Han Dong-Soo. A case triggers something within Han Dong-Soo. In the character teaser, Shin Ha-Kyun states “I shouldn’t have entered this world from the start. You should feel it. What its like to be beaten. What its like to be trampled upon.”

Lee Soo-Hyuk, Lee Da-Hee, & Arin cast in drama “S Line”

Lee Soo-Hyuk, Lee Da-Hee, & Arin are cast in new drama series “S Line.” The drama series is based on webcomic “S Line” by Ggomabi. The scenario for “S Line,” revolves around mysterious red lines that suddenly appear over people’s heads. The red lines, called “S Line” by people, connect people who have had sexual relations with each other. This of course, causes problems for a lot of people. Lee Soo-Hyuk will play Detective Han Ji-Wook who looks into the S Line.

“S Line” will be released sometime next year.

Kyoko Saito cast in TV Asahi drama “Nukarumi no Shokutaku”

Kyoko Saito is cast for her first starring role in TV Asahi drama series “Nukarumi no Shokutaku.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Nukarumi no Shokutaku” by Inako. Kyoko Saito, who is a member of idol group Hinatazaka46, will play lead character Mia Nejiki. She is a young woman who is involved in an affair with the manager at her supermarket workplace.

“Nukarumi no Shokutaku” will first air October 21, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer and poster for movie “Ichiko”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Ichiko” starring Hana Sugisaki & Ryuya Wakaba. The film will screen at the upcoming 28th Busan International Film Festival (October 4-13, 2023) in the Jiseok Section. Movie is directed by Akihiro Toda (“The Name“). The movie “Ichiko,” follows a man who searches for his girlfriend who disappeared the day after he proposed to her. He then learns about her traumatic past.

“Ichiko” will be released December 8, 2023 in Japan.

First teaser trailer for Disney+ drama series “The Worst Of Evil” starring Ji Chang-Wook, Wi Ha-Joon, & Lim Se-Mi. The teaser trailer begins with Ji Chang-Wook as Detective Park Joon-Mo asking “Are you Jung Ki-Cheol?,” while looking straight into the eyes of Wi Ha-Joon as Crime Boss Jung Ki-Cheol. Detective Park Joon-Mo is involved in a drug investigation and Jung Ki-Cheol leads the crime organization known as the Gangnam Alliance. Fuma Kikuchi cast in NTV drama “Zeicho”

Fuma Kikuchi is cast in NTV live-action drama series “Zeicho.” The drama series is based on manga series “Zeicho!: Nouzeika Daisan Shuunoukakari” by Yui Shin. For the live-action drama series version, Fuma Kikuchi will play main character Soichiro Aiba. He works as a tax collector at city hall and tries to find ways to help people, while collecting overdue tax payments.
