First image from Park Chan-Wook’s “Fingersmith”

Here’s the first image from upcoming Park Chan-Wook directed film “Fingersmith” starring Ha Jung-Woo & Kim Min-Hee. The image features (left to right) Ha Jung-Woo, Kim Min-Hee, Kim Tae-Ri and Cho Jin-Woong. Filming for “Fingersmith” finished recently in South Korea and took about 4 months to finish. Story for the film is based on 2002 novel “Fingersmith” by Sarah Waters.

“Fingersmith” will be released sometime during summer, 2016 in South Korea.

Kim So-Hyun cast in movie “Princess Deokhye”

Teen actress Kim So-Hyun is cast in upcoming movie “Princess Deokhye” (literal title) starring Son Ye-Jin & Park Hae-Il. Movie is based on 2009 novel “Deokhyeongjoo” by Kwon Bi-Young and directed by Hur Jin-Ho (“Christmas in August”).

In movie “Princess Deokhye,” Kim So-Hyun will play main character Princess Deokhye (Son Ye-Jin) during her younger teenage years. As a young girl, Princess Deokhye was adored by the people and her father King Gojong, but after witnessing her father’s assassination she changes.

Filming for “Princess Deokhye” begins November, 2015 in South Korea.

English subtitled teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “The Sound of a Flower” starring Ryoo Seung-Ryong, Bae Suzy, Kim Nam-Gil & Song Sae-Byeok . Movie is directed by Lee Jong-Pil (“Born To Sing”). Story for “The Sound of a Flower” follows a young woman (Bae Suzy) who takes up the guise of a man so she can sing pansori (traditional Korean music/storytelling) and her teacher (Ryoo Seung-Ryong who risks everything to help her.

“The Sound of a Flower” will be released November 25, 2015 in South Korea.

Filming for movie “Haeuhhwa” finished October 17, 2015

Filming for upcoming movie “Haeuhhwa” finished October 17, 2015. Filming took about 4 months to complete. Movie “Haeuhhwa” features the trio of Han Hyo-Joo, Yoo Yeon-Seok & Chun Woo-Hee (whom all appeared in movie “The Beauty Inside“) in a period film revolving around two gisaengs and a top music producer. The movie is directed by Park Heung-Sik (“My Mother the Mermaid“/”Memories of the Sword“).

Release date for “Haeuhhwa” is set for sometime next year in South Korea.

Here’s an early international teaser poster for upcoming romance film “A Man and a Woman” starring Jeon Do-Yeon and Gong-Yoo. Movie is directed by Lee Yoon-Ki (“Ad Lib Night“/”My Dear Enemy“). Story for “A Man and a Woman” is set in the country of Finland and involves a forbidden romance. Filming for parts of “A Man and a Woman” was actually filmed in Finland for 1 month.

Release date for “A Man and a Woman” is targeted for sometime during the first half of 2016 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer added for movie “The Sound of a Flower” starring Ryoo Seung-Ryong, Bae Suzy (‘Miss A’), Kim Nam-Gil & Song Sae-Byeok. Movie is directed by Lee Jong-Pil (“Born to Sing“). Story for the film follows a teacher (Ryoo Seung-Ryong) of pansori and a woman (Bae Suzy) who has a natural gift for the art, but is unable to perform because of her gender. She risks her life by taking the appearance of a man to sing pansori and the teacher risks his life to teach her the art of pansori.

In addition, release date for “The Sound of a Flower” is now set for November 25, 2015 in South Korea.

Lee Jung-Jae cast in Korean War film “Operation Chromite”

Actor Lee Jung-Jae is now cast in upcoming South Korean war film “Operation Chromite.” U.S. actor Liam Neeson and South Korean actor Lee Beom-Soo are already cast for the film. Movie “Operation Chromite” will be directed by John H. Lee.

Movie “Operation Chromite” follows U.S. General Douglas MacArthur (Liam Neeson) and 8 South Korean troop members as they take part in the covert “X-ray” operation. The “X-ray” operation proceeds the “Incheon Landing Operation” if successful.

Filming for “Operation Chromite” begins 2nd half of this year in South Korea.
