The Qing Dynasty attacks Joseon, while King Injo and his retainers use Namhansanseong as an emergency capital. Movie is directed by Hwang Dong-Hyuk (“Silenced“/”Miss Granny“).
“Namhansanseong” is now slotted for release September, 2017 in South Korea.

Poster and trailer for upcoming movie “Forkcrane” starring Uhm Tae-Woong. Movie is directed by Lee Ju-Hyoung. Like Lee Ju-Hyoung’s prior film “Red Family,” movie “Forkcrane” is written and produced by Kim Ki-Duk. Story for “Forkcrane” revolves around a forklift driver played by Uhm Tae-Woong. In his youth, he was a paratrooper and deployed to Gwangju to suppress the Gwangju Uprising. An incident causes the forklift driver to uncover a secret. For those curious, Korean title “Forkcrane” is a Korean term to refer to hydraulic excavators that come from French company “Poclain.”
“Forkcrane” opens July 27, 2017.
Teaser trailer for omnibus film “The Table” (English title) starring Lim Soo-Jung, Jung Yu-Mi, Han Ye-Ri and Jung Eun-Chae. Movie had its world premiere at last year’s Busan International Film Festival. Story for “The Table” takes place over the course of a day and tells four different stories. Each of the stories takes place at the same table between a man and a woman. Movie is directed by Kim Jong-Kwan.
“The Table” will be released August 24, 2017 in South Korea.
Jang Dong-Gun is cast for new movie “Outbreak” (literal title) co-starring Hyun-Bin. The film is set in historical times and is also an action film involving monsters. Movie will be directed by Kim Sung-Hoon (“Confidential Assignment“). For the upcoming film, Jang Dong-Gun will play Kim Ja-Joon. He works as a high ranking government official, equivalent to Minister of Defense. He awaits for the chance to usurp the throne and is in conflict with Lee Chung (Hyun-Bin). Also cast in supporting roles are Jo Woo-Jin, Kim Eui-Sung, Jo Dal-Hwan and Kim Ju-Hyeok will make a special appearance.
Filming for “Outbreak” will begin the second half of this year in South Korea.
More castings has been revealed for upcoming sci-fi film “Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” (“In-rang”) starring Gang Dong-Won and directed by Kim Jee-Woon. Now cast in the film are Han Hyo-Joo, Jung Woo-Sung, Kim Moo-Yul, Han Ye-Ri, Heo Jun-Ho and Minho (‘SHINee’). Here’s character posters of Shin Ha-Kyun and Do Kyung-Soo (‘EXO’) for upcoming movie “Room No.7.” Movie is set to make its world premiere as the opening film at this year’s Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (July 13-23, 2017). “Room No.7” is a comedy-thriller set at a DVD viewing shop. In particular, secrets are held in room no.7 at the DVD viewing shop which causes a battle between the owner and employee.
Lee Sun-Kyun is cast in new movie “PMC” co-starring Ha Jung-Woo. The film will be directed by Kim Byung-Woo (“The Terror Live“). Premise for the film has a PMC (private military company) hired to make a daring rescue within an underground bunker, while tension increases between North and South Korea. Ha Jung-Woo will play one of the main hired soldiers, while Lee Sun-Kyun plays a doctor.
Filming for “PMC” begins August, 2017 and the movie will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
