First script reading for tvN drama series “Touch Your Heart”

The first script reading for upcoming tvN drama series “Touch Your Heart” (English title), starring Lee Dong-Wook & Yoo In-Na, took place November 27, 2018. The first script reading included main cast members Lee Dong-Wook, Yoo In-Na, Shin Dong-Wook, Shim Hyung-Tak, Lee Joon-Hyuk, Son Sung-Yoon and Jang So-Yeon all in attendance. The screenplay features actress Oh Yoon-Seo (Yoo In-Na) wanting to land an acting role and she begins to work as the secretary for Lawyer Kwon Jung-Rok’s (Lee Dong-Wook) secretary to prepare for that role.

“Touch Your Heart” first airs January, 2019 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 PM time slot after “Encounter“).

L cast in SBS drama series “Dan, Only Love”

L (aka Kim Myung-Soo) from boy band ‘INFINITE’ is now cast in SBS drama series “Dan, Only Love” (literal title) co-starring Shin Hye-Sun. For the drama series, L will play an angel named Dan. He is a bit of a troublemaker. He. needs to go back to heaven and he takes up the role of a cupid for Lee Yeon-Seo’s (Shin Hye-Sun), but he falls in love with her.

 “Dan, Only Love” first airs May, 2019 in South Korea.

First still images of Bae Suzy in SBS drama series “Vagabond”

Here’s the first still images of Bae Suzy in upcoming SBS drama series “Vagabond” co-starring Lee Seung-Gi. In drama series “Vagabond,” Bae Suzy plays Go Hae-Ri. To support her mother and younger sibling, she becomes a NIS agent. Filming for the drama series were shot on location in Morocco from October, 2018 and finished November, 2018.

“Vagabond” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #3 for tvN drama series “The Crowned Clown”

Teaser trailer #3 added for tvN drama series “The Crowned Clown” starring Yeo Jin-Goo and  Lee Se-Young. Teaser trailer #3 has Lee Se-Young appearing for the first time as Queen Yoo So-Woon. She provides narration at the 20 second mark of the teaser and states in Korean “Finally… I became to like highness.” Meanwhile, above is the second teaser poster for “The Crowned Clown.” The teaser poster features Yeo Jin-Goo standing in the foreground and Kim Sang-Kyung standing behind him. Caption on the bottom of the poster states in Korean “Clown becomes a King.” Drama series is a remake of 2012 movie “Masquerade.”

Ji Hyun-Woo & Park Han-Byul cast in MBC drama series “Love in Sadness”

Ji Hyun-Woo and Park Han-Byul are now cast for lead roles in MBC Saturday drama series “Love in Sadness” (literal title). Also cast for second leads are Ryu Soo-Young and Wang Bit-Na. The drama series will follow the relationship between plastic surgeon Seo Jung-Won (Ji Hyun-Woo) and married woman Yoon Ma-Ri (Park Han-Byul). Yoon Ma-Ri is in an abusive relationship and she tries to escape from her husband played by Ryu Soo-Young.

“Love in Sadness” first airs February, 2019 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Saturday 9PM time slot after “A Pledge To God“).

Han Ye-Seul cast in SBS drama series “Big Issue”

Han Ye-Seul is now cast for upcoming SBS drama series “Big Issue.” For the drama series, Han Ye-Seul will play lead female character Ji Soo-Hyun. She once dreamed of becoming a reporter seeking out the truth. She does not have those dreams anymore and works as the chief editor of  gossip rag Sunday Tongshin. She seeks out celebrity scandals using her personal connections. She is cold-blooded and heartless. Joo Jin-Mo has been offered the lead male role and he is still considering.

“Big Issue” first airs February, 2019.

“Romance is a Bonus Book” set as English title for tvN drama series

According to tvN, “Romance is a Bonus Book” has been set as the official English title for upcoming tvN drama series starring Lee Jong-Suk and Lee Na-Young. The English title is also the literal title for the drama series (“로맨스는 별책부록”). Previously, tvN selected “How To Publish Love” as the English title for the drama, but after further discussions tvN has decided to go with “Romance is a Bonus Book.”

“Romance is a Bonus Book”  will first air January 26, 2019 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “Memories of the Alhambra“).

First 3 teaser trailers added for upcoming MBN-Dramax drama series “Best Chicken” (literal title) starring  Park Sun-HoKim So-Hye and Joo Woo-Jae. The drama series follows Park Choi-Go (Park Sun-Ho) as he quits his corporate job to follow his dream of opening a chicken restaurant. Still images below is of Park Sun-Ho as Park Choi-Go.

Lee Gyu-Han & Lee Sun-Bin cast in tvN drama special “Dramatization Has Already Begun”

Lee Gyu-Han and Lee Sun-Bin are cast for lead roles in tvN drama special “Dramatization Has Already Begun” (literal title). In addition, Heo Jeong-Min is cast for a major supporting character role. The drama special is the the 7th installment of tvN’s 2019 Drama Stage series. Lee Sun-Bin will play movie director Hong Hee-Soo. Lee Gyu-Han will play screenwriter Kim Pil-Ki. The two are ex-lovers who begin working together on a new project.

“Dramatization Has Already Begun” will air January 19, 2019 in South Korea.

English title for JTBC drama series “The Light in Your Eyes”

Official English title has been updated for upcoming JTBC drama series “The Light in Your Eyes” starring Han Ji-Min and  Nam Joo-Hyuk. The drama series’ previously went under the literal title of “Dazzling” (“Nooni Booshige”), but has been given the official English title of “The Light in Your Eyes” by JTBC. The drama series follows two women who are named Kim Hye-Ja. A younger Kim Hye-Ja played by Han Ji-Min switches bodies with a 70-year-old Kim Hye-Ha played by Kim Hye-Ja. Nam Joo-Hyuk will play Lee Joon-Ha who becomes involved with Kim Hye-Ja.

“The Light in Your Eyes” is tentatively scheduled to first air January, 2019 in South Korea.
