Ji Jin-Hee cast in tvN drama series “Designated Survivor”

Ji Jin-Hee is now cast for the lead role in upcoming tvN drama series “Designated Survivor” (literal title). Drama series is a remake of U.S. television series “Designated Survivor.” The screenplay will have Ji Jin-Hee playing Park Moo-Jin. He doesn’t hold much interest in politics, but he sits in the Minister of Environment position. Everything changes when an explosion kills all the higher level government officials and he becomes the temporary President of South Korea. Actress Kang Han-Na is still considering an offer to play the lead female role.

“Designated Survivor” will air sometime during the first half of this year in South Korea.

Chang Ki-Yong & Nana (‘After School’) cast in OCN drama series “Blue Eyes”

Chang Ki-Yong and Nana (‘After School’) are cast for lead roles in OCN drama series “Blue Eyes.” Fitting in stylistically with OCN’s catalogue of drama series, Chang Ki-Yong will play hitman Kim Soo-Hyun and Nana will play detective Do Hyun-Jin. Do Hyun-Jin chases after Kim Soo-Hyun, while Kim Soo-Hyun kills to find his family.

“Blue Eyes” first airs March, 2019 (takes over OCN’s Saturday & Sunday 10:20 PM time slot after “Trap“).

Teaser trailer #2 and #3 for tvN drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book”

Teaser trailer #2 and #3 added for upcoming tvN drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book” (English title) starring Lee Jong-Suk and Lee Na-Young. Teaser trailer #2 and #3 shows Lee Jong-Suk as Cha Eun-Ho and Lee Na-Young as Kang Dan-Yi for the first time.

Teaser trailer #2 features Lee Na-Young and starts off with captions in Korean that states “If I have a day which I can turn back time and go … that is the exact moment.” Lee Na-Young’s voice then states at the end of the teaser “That is how our new chapter began.”

Teaser trailer #3 features Lee Jong-Suk and caption in Korean appears in the teaser that states “The reason I do not believe in love … It’s because of Kang Dan-Yi.” His voice then appears at the end of the teaser and states “This is how our new chapater began.”

“Romance is a Bonus Book” first airs January 26, 2019 in South Korea.

Kim Dong-Wook cast in MBC drama series “Special Labor Inspector Jo Jang-Poong”

Kim Dong-Wook is cast in new MBC drama series “Special Labor Inspector Jo Jang-Poong” (literal title). In the drama series, Kim Dong-Wook will play main character Jo Jin-Gab. He has the type of personality where he must stand up for any perceived injustice. He then passes the civil service exam and looks forward to peaceful days. Things change when he is assigned to work as a labor inspector at the Ministry of Employment and Labor. 

“Special Labor Inspector Jo Jang-Poong” will first air sometime during spring, 2019 in South Korea.

Cho Jung-Seok, Han Ye-Ri & Yoon Si-Yoon cast in SBS drama series “Mung Bean Flower”

Cho Jung-Seok, Han Ye-Ri & Yoon Si-Yoon are cast in SBS drama series “Mung Bean Flower” (literal title). The drama series is set during Donghak Peasant Revolution which took place in 1894-1895. Cho Jung-Seok and Yoon Si-Yoon will play half-brothers who fights on opposite sides of this revolution. Han Ye-Ri will play a woman dreaming of becoming the best merchant of her time. Early Korean working title of this drama series was “Woogeumti” and then changed to its current “Nokdoo Kkot.”

“Mung Bean Flower” will first air sometime during the first half of this year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #2 & character posters for MBC drama series “Spring Turns to Spring”

Teaser trailer #2 added for MBC drama series “Spring Turns to Spring” starring Lee Yu-Ri and Uhm Ji-Won. In addition, here’s two character posters for the drama series. The character posters are of Lee Yu-Ri as Kim Bo-Mi and Uhm Ji-Won as Lee Bom. The two characters somehow switch bodies in the drama series.

“Spring Turns to Spring” first airs January 23, 2019 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Wednesday & Thursday 10PM time slot after “Children of Nobody.”).

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Legal High”

First script reading for upcoming JTBC drama series “Legal High” took place December, 2018 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Jin Goo, Seo Eun-Su, Yoon Park, Chae Jung-An, Jung Sang-Hoon, Lee Soon-Jae, Kim Byung-Ok and Kim Ho-Jung all attended. As the familiar title might suggest, the drama series is a remake of 2012 Fuji TV drama series “Legal High” with Masato Sakai and Yui Aragaki in the lead roles. Story for the drama series will follow Lawyer Ko Tae-Rim (Jin Goo) with a 100% wining rate and Lawyer Seo Jae-In (Seo Eun-Su) with a 100% sense of justice.

“Legal High” first airs February 8, 2019 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday & Saturday 11PM time slot after “SKY Castle“).
