Yuriko Yoshitaka & Ryusei Yokohama cast in movie “Kimi no Me ga Toikakete Iru”

Yuriko Yoshitaka and Ryusei Yokohama are cast in movie “Kimi no Me ga Toikakete Iru.” The film is a remake of 2011 South Korean film “Always” starring So Ji-Sub and Han Hyo-Joo. In the film, Yuriko Yoshitaka will play Kaori Mei. She lost her eyesight and family in a past accident. Ryusei Yokohama will play former kickboxer Rui. He takes part in an illegal fight to pay for Kaori Mei’s eye surgery. Filming for “Kimi no Me ga Toikakete Iru” will begin mid-October, 2019 and directed by Takahiro Miki.

“Kimi no Me ga Toikakete Iru” will be sometime during autumn, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for live-action film “Signal 100”

Teaser trailer added for live-action film “Signal 100” starring Kanna Hashimoto. In addition, supporting cast has been announced for the film and they include Yuta Koseki, Toshiki Seto, Shido Nakamura and Ayano Kudo. The teaser trailer features the quirky tune “Right Her Where You Want It” by X-Ray Dog, while a lot of blood is shed by hypnotized high school students. Movie is based on manga series “Signal 100” written by Arata Miyatsuki and directed by Lisa Takeba (“Haruko’s Paranormal Laboratory“).

“Signal 100” will be released January 24, 2020.

Trailer & poster for live-action film “I Was A ‘Secret Bitch'”

Trailer & poster added for live-action film “I Was A ‘Secret Bitch’” starring Yui Sakuma, Nijiro Murakami and Suzuka Ohgo. Movie is based on manga series “”Kakure Bicchi” Yattemashita” by Piroyo Arai and directed by Koichiro Miki. The word “Kakure Bitch” in the Japanese title means literally “Secret Bitch” or more precisely “Secret Slut.” The main character played by Yui Sakuma is a young woman who likes to flirt with men, using shy/innocent mannerisms rather than overtly sexual mannerisms. Her roommate and good friend call her “Kakure Bitch” because of that.

“I Was A ‘Secret Bitch'” will be released December 6, 2019 in Japan.

Still image and supporting actresses announced for movie “The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese” (literal title) starring Tadayoshi Okura and Ryo Narita. The actresses cast in the film are Shiori Yoshida, Honami Sato, Miyu Sakihi and Noriko Kijima. They are all somehow related to Kyoichi Otomo (Tadayoshi Okura). The movie is based on manga “Kyuso wa Chizu no Yume wo Miru” by Setona Mizushiro (“Poison Berry in My Brain“) and directed by Isao Yukisada. Main trailer added for live-action film “Love and Murder of Sheep and Wolf” (literal title) starring Yosuke Sugino and Haruka Fukuhara. The film is based on manga series “Ana Satsujin” by Rahson and directed by Kayoko Asakura (“It’s a Beautiful Day“). Whether you speak Japanese or not, the trailer reveals the premise very well with physical action. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed which is “Ienai Kiss wo Shite” by singer RöE (photo of her below). The theme song is featured in the main trailer.

Teaser trailer and two posters added for Takashi Miike directed film “First Love.” The film stars Masataka Kubota as boxer Reo Katsuragi and Sakurako Konishi as drug addicted Monika. The two are chased by the yakuza. Caption on the duo poster states in Japanese “The first love which met during the last moment of life.” Caption on the main cast poster states “Without one of them, this love did not exist without one of them missing.”

“First Love” opens February 28, 2020 in Japan.

Kei Tanaka & Sae Okazaki cast in movie “Mellow”

Kei Tanaka and Sae Okazaki  are cast in movie “Mellow.” The movie is written and directed by Rikiya Imaizumi (“Little Nights, Little Love“). Also cast for supporting roles are Sara Shida, Tamaki Shiratori, Sumire, Kenjiro Yamashita, Rie Tomosaka and Mantaro Koichi. The film will follow a single man (Kei Tanaka) who runs a flower shop and a woman (Sae Okazaki) who runs a ramen shop nearby. Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer for the movie has been added on AsianWiki. The teaser trailer features the movie’s theme song, which is “Hana ni Naru” by Ruri Namiki.

“Mellow” will be released January 17, 2020.
