Teaser trailer & teaser poster for movie “Stolen Identity 2”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for movie “Stolen Identity 2” starring Yudai Chiba, Mai Shiraishi and Ryo Narita. In addition, 13 new supporting cast members have been announced: Hiroki Suzuki, Takuma Otoo, Noriko Eguchi, Nao, Kazuki Iio, Yu Takahashi, Kodai, Yuki Hirako, Risako Tanigawa, Akira Ohashi, Mio Imada, Tetsushi Tanaka and Arata Iura. The film is based on 2018 novel “Sumaho o Otoshita dake nanoni: Toraware no Satsujinki” by Akira Shiga and a sequel to 2018 film “Stolen Identity.”

“Stolen Identity 2” is now scheduled for release February 21, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & teaser poster for movie “Fukushima 50”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for movie “Fukushima 50” starring Koichi Sato and Ken Watanabe. The film follows 50 workers who stayed at the Fukushima nuclear power plant after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster. Caption on the teaser poster states in Japanese “50 people who stayed and kept fighting inside the nuclear power plant were called the Fukushima 50.” Meanwhile, supporting cast for the movie has been updated on AsianWiki. Those include Naoto Ogata, Shohei Hino, Mitsuru Hirata, Masato Hagiwara, Riho Yoshioka, Takumi Saito, Yasuko Tomita and Shiro Sano.

“Fukushima 50” is now set for release March, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and main trailer added for upcoming movie “Last Letter” starring Takako Matsu, Suzu Hirose, Masaharu Fukuyama and Ryunosuke Kamiki. Movie is written and directed by Shunji Iwai. The main trailer begins with a letter that asks “If I tell you that I still love you, will believe that?” Movie reunites Takako Matsu and director Shunji Iwai who last worked together in 1998 movie “April Story.”

“Last Letter” will be released January 17, 2020 in Japan.

Movie is based on manga series “Korosanai Kare to Shinanai Kanojyo” by Seikimatsu and directed by Keiichi Kobayashi (“About the Pink Sky“). Below are still images from the upcoming film.

Supporting cast & release date for movie “The Back of Shadow”

Supporting cast and release date added for movie “The Back of Shadow” (literal title of “Eiri”) starring Gou Ayano and Ryuhei Matsuda. Newly announced supporting cast members are Mariko Tsutsui, Tomoya Nakamura, Kinari Hirano, Jun Kunimura, Eiko Nagashima and Ken Yasuda. The film is based on 2017 novel “Eiri” by Shinsuke Numata. The novel won the 157th Akutagawa Prize in 2017. Movie is also directed by Keishi Ohtomo (“Rurouni Kenshin“).

“The Back of Shadow” is now set for release February 14, 2020 in Japan.

Ayaka Miyoshi cast in horror film “Howling Village”

Ayaka Miyoshi is cast in horror film “Howling Village” (English title). The film is co-written by Takashi Shimizu (“Ju-on“) & Daisuke Hosaka (“Sadako 3D 2 “) and directed by Takashi Shimizu. Story for “Howling Village” revolves around Inunaki Village which exists in many urban legends as a deserted & haunted town. Ayaka Miyoshi plays Kanae Morita. She has the special ability to see spirits.

“Howling Village” will be released February 7, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser poster added for movie “Romance Doll” starring Issey Takahashi and Yu Aoi. Movie is based on 2009 novel “Romance Doll” by Yuki Tanada and also directed by her. Yuki Tanada has previously worked with actor Issey Takahashi in 2019 TV Asahi drama series “Tokyo Bachelors” and with actress Yu Aoi in 2008 movie “One Million Yen and the Nigamushi Woman.” Story for “Romance Doll” follows a husband and wife who both have secrets. The husband’s secret is that he makes sex dolls.

“Romance Doll” is now set for release January 24, 2020 in Japan.

Ayami Nakajo cast in movie “Flight on the Water”

Ayami Nakajo is cast in movie “Flight on the Water” (literal title of “Suijo no Furaito”). The film is directed by Atsushi Kaneshige (“Kiseki: Sobito of That Day “) and scripted by Akihiro Dobashi (“Samurai Hustle“) and Atsushi Kaneshige. The film will have Ayami Nakjo playing an athlete who becomes paralyzed form the waist down. She then takes part in the sport of paracanoe. Filming for “Flight on the Water” will begin August, 2019 and finish mid-September, 2018. Filming locations will include Tokyo and Central Japan.

“Flight on the Water” will be released sometime in 2020 in Japan.
