Teaser poster and titles for last two “Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter” films

Here’s the first teaser poster for upcoming films “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” and “Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning” starring Takeru Satoh. Both of these two films comprise “Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter.” Filming for the two movies took place for over 7 months and more than 43 locations around Japan including Kyoto, Nara, Shiga, Mie, Hyogo, Kumamoto, Hiroshima, Tochigi, Saitama, and Shizuoka. The story line for the two final films has Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh) going up against mysterious weapons dealer Enishi and the secret of Kenshin Himura’s “Jujishou” is revealed. In addition, first group of supporting cast members has been revealed for the films. They are Emi Takei, Munetaka Aoki, Yu Aoi, and Riku Ohnishi. Riku Ohnishi will play a new character Yahiko Myojin, while the other three will reprise their respective characters from prior films.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” will be released July 3, 2020 and “Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning” will be released August 7, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster for movie “The Confidence Man JP: Princess”

Teaser trailer and poster added for sequel film “The Confidence Man JP: Princess” starring Masami Nagasawa, Masahiro Higashide, & Fumiyo Kohinata. The sequel film to 2019 movie “The Confidence Man JP: The Movie” and 2018 Fuji TV drama series “The Confidence Man JP” will be set in Langkawi, Malaysia. Supporting cast members who will play new characters in the sequel film are Alan Shirahama, Nagisa Sekimizu, Yuta Furukawa, Kyohei Shibata, and Kinya Kitaoji.

“The Confidence Man JP: Princess” will be released May 1, 2020 in Japan.

Taiga Nakano & Ryuya Wakaba cast in movie “All the Things We Never Said”

Taiga Nakano and Ryuya Wakaba are cast in movie “All the Things We Never Said.” The movie is written and directed by Yuya Ishii. According to the director, he wrote the script over a period of 3 days. Taiga Nakano will play ordinary man Atsuhisa Yamada, who witnesses his wife having an affair, but is unable to say anything about it. Ryuya Wakaba will play his childhood friend Takeda. The film is planned for release in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao as well as Japan for sometime next year.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Moeyo Ken” starring Junichi Okada and Kou Shibasaki. Movie is based on novel “Moeyo Ken” by Ryotaro Shiba (“Taboo“) and directed by Masato Harada.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Set in the 19th century, “Moeyo Ken” follows the life of Toshizo Hijikata (Junichi Okada). He was the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi and fought against the Meiji Restoration.

“Moeyo Ken” is now set for May 22, 2020 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Phone of The Wind” starring Serena Motola, Hidetoshi Nishijima, & Tomokazu Miura. Movie is inspired by the true story of a man who placed a telephone booth in his garden. The location became a destination for those grieving over lost ones from the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The screenplay follows young woman Haru (Serena Motola) as she travels from Hiroshima to Iwate Prefecture. It’s 8 years after she lost her family in the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

“The Phone of The Wind” will be released January 24, 2020 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “Stolen Identity 2”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Stolen Identity 2” starring Yudai Chiba, Mai Shiraishi and Ryo Narita. Movie is based on 2018 novel “Sumaho o Otoshita dake nanoni: Toraware no Satsujinki” by Akira Shiga and is a sequel to 2018 film “Stolen Identity.” The theme song for the movie has been revealed, which is “Doron” by Japanese pop-rock band King Gnu. The theme song appears in the main trailer. Caption on the main poster asks in Japanese “Can (you) protect the person (you) love from the smartphone?”

“Stolen Identity 2” will be released February 21, 2020 in Japan.
