Han Hyo-Joo & Byun Yo-Han cast in movie “The Sun Does Not Move”

Han Hyo-Joo and Byun Yo-Han are cast in Japanese film “The Sun Does Not Move” (literal title) starring Tatsuya Fujiwara. The film is based on two novels in the “Kazuhiko Takano Series” by Shuichi Yoshida (“Villain“) and directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (“Assassination Classroom“). Han Hyo-Joo previously co-starred in Japanese film “Miracle: Devil Claus’ Love and Magic,” while this is the first Japanese film for Byun Yo-Han. Han Hyo-Joo in “The Sun Does Not Move” will play an industrial spy of unknown origins and Byun Yo-Han will play industrial spy David Kim.

“The Sun Does Not Move” opens May 15, 2020 in Japan.

Hokuto Yoshino & Nonoka Yamaguchi cast for lead roles in live-action film “Kiss Him, Not Me”

Hokuto Yoshino (‘The Rampage from Exile Tribe’) and Nonoka Yamaguchi (‘E-girls’) are cast for lead roles in live-action film “Kiss Him, Not Me.” Also cast in major supporting character roles are Fuju Kamio, Miu Tomita, Asahi Ito and So Okuno. The film is based on manga series  “Watashi ga Motete Dosunda” by Junko and will be directed by Norihisa Hiranuma (“High & Low The Worst Episode.0“).

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Kae Serinuma (Miu Tomita) is a chubby female high school student. She is a fujoshi, who enjoys reading about romance between men. One day, her favorite animation character dies and she falls into shock. Kae Serinuma is unable to eat for a week and she ends up losing a lot of weight. The end result is that Kae Serinuma (Nonoka Yamaguchi) suddenly becomes popular at school. Four pretty male students fall for Kae Serinuma. The four boys are Asuma Mutsumi (Hokuto Yoshino), Yusuke Igarashi (Fuju Kamio), Nozomu Nanashima (Asahi Ito) and Hayato Shinomiya (So Okuno).

“Kiss Him, Not Me” will be released July 10, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser poster for WOWOW drama series “Oedo Great Journey”

Teaser poster added for upcoming WOWOW drama series “Oedo Great Journey” starring Ryuhei Maruyama. The period drama series is based on 2016 novel “Daken Dochu Okage Mairi” by Akihiro Dobashi (“Samurai Marathon“) and directed by Katsuhide Motoki (“Samurai Hustle“) & Masanori Inoue.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: In the year 1830, Tatsugoro (Ryuhei Maruyama) was once known as a legendary gambler, but heavy losses in gambling causes him to fall deeply into debt. As a child, he grew up as an orphan and he is still all alone as an adult.

One day, Tatsugoro is selected by lots as a representative of a nagaya (multi-unit housing). He and others go to Ise Grand Shrine to worship. During the journey, Tatsugoro meets a dog Okinamaruo, a boy Miyoshi and a beautiful woman Saya. He pretends to be a family with them.

“Oedo Great Journey” will air sometime this year in Japan.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Single father Kenichi (Takayuki Yamada) has raised his daughter Miki (Tamaki Shiratori) alone for the past 10 years. From when she attended nursery school until her graduation from elementary school. Kenichi is currently 30-years-old. His wife Tomoko died at a young age and he has raised Miki alone since that time. While raising his daughter alone, he has encountered various problems.

Trailer for movie “Kizoku Korin: Prince of Legend”

Trailer added for movie “Kizoku Korin: Prince of Legend” starring Alan Shirahama & Ryota Katayose. Movie is a sequel to 2018 NTV drama series “Prince of Legend” and 2019 movie “Prince of Legend.” The movie’s theme song has also been revealed, which is “Possible” by co-lead actor Ryota Katayose (‘Generations from Exile Tribe’). The theme song appears in the trailer.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Shintaro Ando (Alan Shirahama) has become Noble Dori after various confrontations. Now, the noble group, who are led by Shintaro Ando, has battles over the title of Legend (“Densetsu”) against the prince group, who are led by Kanade Suzaku (Ryota Katayose).

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Ren Takahashi (Masaki Suda) and Aoi Sonoda (Nana Komatsu) were both born in 1989. They met for the first time at the age of 13 and became each other’s first love, but they separated. At the age of 21, they met again. They were unable to undo their past.
