Two teaser trailers and two teaser posters added for movie “The Sun Does Not Move” (literal title) starring Tatsuya Fujiwara & Ryoma Takeuchi. Movie is based on novels “Taiyo wa Ugokanai” and “Mori wa Shitte Iru” by Shuichi Yoshida.

Main trailer & poster for movie “Not Quite Dead Yet”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Not Quite Dead Yet” starring Suzu Hirose, Ryo Yoshizawa & Shinichi Tsutsumi. The comedy film features an original screenplay by Yoshimitsu Sawamoto and directed by Shinji Hamasaki. For popular actress Suzu Hirose, “Not Quite Dead Yet” marks her first time starring in a comedy film.

Meanwhile, extensive supporting cast has been announced for the film. Mana Ashida cast in movie “Child of the Stars”

Mana Ashida is cast for the lead role in movie “Child of the Stars” (literal title). The film is based on 2017 novel “Hoshi no Ko” by Natsuko Imamura and directed by Tatsushi Omori (“Tada’s Do-It-All House“). For the film, Mana Ashida will play young teen Chihiro.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: When Chihiro (Mana Ashida) was a baby, she suffered from eczema. Her parents tried to find a cure, but nothing worked. Her father’s co-worker then gave him some water from a strange religious group. Chihiro was miraculously cured by the water. Her parents began to follow the strange religion and became fervent followers. Chihiro is now in the 3rd grade of middle school and she faces changes in her life.

Filming for “Child of the Stars” takes place from December, 2019 to January, 2020. “Child of the Stars” is expected to be released sometime later in 2020.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Goodbye: Life Comedy of Starting From a Lie” (literal title) starring Yo Oizumi & Eiko Koike. Movie is based on 2016 novel “Goodbye” by Keralino Sandrovich and directed by Izuru Narushima. The comedy film follows an indecisive man as he tries to breakup with his different girlfriends.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: After the war in Japan, Shuji Tajima (Yo Oizumi) works as the chief editor for a literary magazine. He is an indecisive man and he has several girlfriends. He starts to think that he can’t continue to live like that. Shuji Tajima makes the decision to breakup with his girlfriends, but, because of his personality, he can’t tell his girlfriends to breakup. Shuji Tajima asks Kinuko Nagai (Eiko Koike) to act as his wife. Kinuko Nagai is unyielding about money.

Mackenyu Arata, Haruma Miura, Hirona Yamazaki & Kenichi Matsuyama cast in live-action film “Brave: Gunjyo Senki”

Mackenyu Arata, Haruma Miura, Hirona Yamazaki and Kenichi Matsuyama are all cast in live-action film “Brave: Gunjyo Senki.” The film is based on manga “Gunjyo Senki” by Masaki Kasahara and directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro (“Ajin: Demi-Human“). Story for the film has an entire high school traveling back in time to the sengoku period, right before war breaks out. Mackenyu Arata will play main character Aoi Nishino. Filming for the movie takes place from December, 2019 to January, 2020 around the Kanto area.

“Brave: Gunjyo Senki” will be released sometime in 2021 in Japan.

Teaser 2 & main poster for movie “Last Letter”

Teaser 2 & main poster added for movie “Last Letter” starring Takako Matsu & Suzu Hirose. Movie is the latest film directed by Shunji Iwai (“Hana and Alice“). Notably, the film reunites Takako Matsu and Shunji Iwai who previously collaborated in 1998 movie “April Story.” Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed, which is “Kaeru no Uta” by Nana Mori. Nana Mori also appears in the film as Soyoka Kishibeno / Yuri Tono. Theme song “Kaeru no Uta” also plays in teaser trailer #2.

“Last Letter” will be released January 17, 2020 in Japan.

Main trailer for movie “Mellow” starring Kei Tanaka & Sae Okazaki. Caption appears in the trailer around the 45 second mark that states in Japanese “A Story of unskilled, unrequited loves.”

Plot summary per AsianWiki: Seiichi Natsume (Kei Tanaka) runs a flower shop. He is single and has peaceful days working with flowers, which he enjoys. Meanwhile Kiho (Sae Okazaki) runs a ramen restaurant near the flower shop. The ramen restaurant was left to her from her father, but the restaurant is about to close down for good.
