Yuki Yoda cast in live-action film “Grand Blue”

Yuki Yoda (‘Nogizaka46’) is cast for the lead female character in live-action film “Grand Blue” co-starring Ryo Ryusei and Atsuhiro Inukai. The movie is based on manga series “Grand Blue” written by Kenji Inoue and by Kimitake Yoshioka. Tsutomu Hanabusa (“Asahinagu“) directs the live-action film. For “Grand Blue,” Yuki Yoda will play freshman university student Chisa Kotegawa. She is member of the school’s university scuba diving club.

“Grand Blue” will be released May 29, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final”

First teaser trailer added for upcoming live-action film “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” starring Takeru Satoh and Emi Takei. The teaser trailer provides footage of a battle between Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh) and Enishi (Mackenyu Arata). Caption in the teaser trailer states (0:13) “The last enemy,” and (0:16) “Man who knows mystery of cross wound.”

Taishi Nakagawa and Anna Ishii cast in movie “The Ashes of My Flesh and Blood is the Vast Flowing Galaxy”

Taishi Nakagawa and Anna Ishii (‘E-girls’) cast in movie “The Ashes of My Flesh and Blood is the Vast Flowing Galaxy.” The film is based on novel “Kudakechiru Tokoro o Misete Ageru” by Yuyuko Takemiya and the movie is directed by SABU. Above is promotional visual for the upcoming movie. Caption on the visual states in Japanese “There is no end to love.”

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Kiyozumi Hamada (Taishi Nakagawa) is a 3rd grader in high school. He possesses a strong sense of justice. One day, he sees first grade student Hari Kuramoto (Anna Ishii) being bullied. He helps her. Since that time, Kiyozumi Hamada tries to save Hari Kuramoto from bullies. While doing that, they grow closer.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Kotera (Haruka Kudo) is a high school student. She belongs to the school’s climbing club and is enthusiastic with bouldering. She is polite and has a tender personality. Meanwhile, Kondo (Kentaro Ito) is a member of ping pong club at the same school and is attracted to Kotera.

Trailer & poster added for movie “God of Novels” (literal title) starring Taiki Sato and Kanna Hashimoto. Movie is based on novel “Shousetsu no Kamisama” by Sako Aizawa and directed by Sigeaki Kubo (“High & Low The Story of S.W.O.R.D.“). Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie has been revealed, which is “Call Me Sick” by Reina Washio from idol group “E-girls.” The track “Call Me Sick” plays in the trailer for the film.

“God of Novels” will be released May 22, 2020 in Japan.

Ryo Narita & Kaya Kiyohara cast in movie “Matomo Janai no wa Kimi mo Issho”

Ryo Narita and Kaya Kiyohara are cast in movie “Matomo Janai no wa Kimi mo Issho.” The film is scripted by Ryo Takada and directed by Koji Maeda. Screenwriter Ryo Takada and Director Koji Maeda have previously worked together on 2011 film “Cannonball Wedlock” and 2014 film “My Hawaiian Discovery.” In the film, Ryo Narita will private institute math teacher Yasuomi Ono and Kaya Kiyohara will play his student Kasumi Akimoto.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Yasuomi Ono (Ryo Narita) is a math teacher at a private institute. He doesn’t have a girlfriend and he is engrossed in math. Yasuomi Ono doesn’t complain about his life, but he feels unease about being single for the rest of his life. His dates with women do not go smoothly. Yasuomi Ono doesn’t now what to do to fix that. His student Kasumi Akimoto (Kaya Kiyohara) tells Yasuomi Ono that he is not normal. Yasuomi Ono asks her to teach him to become normal.

Teaser poster for movie “Theater” starring Kento Yamazaki and Mayu Matsuoka. In addition, supporting cast members have been announced for the film and they are: Kanichiro, Sairi Itoh, Satoru Iguchi (‘King Gnu’), Kodai Asaka, Shusaku Kamikawa, Ritsu Otomo and Masaki Miura. Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Nagata (Kento Yamazaki) works as a writer and director for theater company Oroka. His work has not received positive responses and ticket sales has not increased. Making things worse, his relationship with the theatrical troupe is not good. Nagata feels lonely. One day, he sees a woman named Saki (Mayu Matsuoka) on the street. She is wearing the same sneakers as he is. Nagata talks to her. Saki is a university student and she dreams of becoming an actress. Nagata and Saki fall in love.

Mackenyu Arata cast in movies “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” and “Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning”

Mackenyu Arata is cast for upcoming live-action films “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” and “Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning.” Above is a visual of Mackenyu Arata as Enishi in the upcoming films. His character is new to the “Rurouni Kenshin” series of films and is scripted as mysterious arms dealer in China. He holds a deep grudge against Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh) and tries to destroy him.
