Takuya Kimura & Masami Nagasawa cast in movie “Masquerade Night”

Takuya Kimura & Masami Nagasawa are cast in sequel film “Masquerade Night.” The film is a sequel to 2019 movie “Masquerade Hotel” and based on 2017 novel “Masquerade Night” by Keigo Higashino. Both Takuya Kimura and Masami Nagasawa will reprise their roles of Detective Kosuke Nitta and Hotel Cortesia Tokyo employee Naomi Yamagishi. Filming for the movie will begin early January, 2021 and the movie is scheduled to be completed August, 2021.

“Masquerade Night” will be released September 17, 2021 in Japan.

Trailer and poster for movie “The End of the Tiny World”

Trailer and poster added for movie “The End of the Tiny World” starring Takanori Iwata & Mackenyu Arata. Movie is based on 2013 novel “Na mo Naki Sekai no End Roll” by Kaoru Yukinari and directed by Yuichi Sato (“Strawberry Night“). The film follows two men who grew up together as close friends and they exact a plan as adults to take revenge. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Yururu” by singer-songwriter Keina Suda. The theme song appears in the main trailer.

“The End of the Tiny World” will be released January 29, 2021 in Japan.

Trailer and poster for movie “Peaceful Death”

Teaser poster, English subtitled trailer, and release date added for movie “Peaceful Death” starring Tasuku Emoto. The film is based on novels “Itakunai Shinikata” and “Itai Zaitakui” by Kazuhiro Nagao, who is also a home health care doctor. Cast in supporting roles for the film are Maki Sakai, Kimiko Yo, Naoko Otani, Ryudo Uzaki and Eiji Okuda. 

“Peaceful Death” is now scheduled for release February, 2021 in Japan.

Trailer for movie “The Fable: A Contract Killer Who Doesn’t Kill”

Main trailer added for live-action sequel film “The Fable: A Contract Killer Who Doesn’t Kill” (literal title) starring Junichi Okada & Fumino Kimura. The film has recently picked up its official Japanese title of “The Fable: Korosanai Koroshiya,” which translates into “The Fable: A Contract Killer Who Doesn’t Kill.” The script is based on manga series “The Fable” by Katsuhisa Minami and follows 2019 movie “The Fable.”

“The Fable: A Contract Killer Who Doesn’t Kill” will be released February 5, 2021 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for upcoming thriller film “First Love” starring Keiko Kitagawa & Tomoya Nakamura. Movie is based on novel “First Love” by Rio Shimamoto (“Narratage“), which is the winner of the 159th Naoki Prize in 2018. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as  “First Love” by singer Uru. The theme song plays during the main trailer as well.

“First Love” will be released February 11, 2021 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for mystery-horror live-action film “The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” starring Masaki Okada, Jun Shison, and Yurina Hirate. Movie is based on manga series “Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru” by Tomoko Yamashita and directed by Yukihiro Morigaki. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Kuraku Kuroku” by rock group Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni. The theme song is also featured in the main trailer.

“The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” is now set for release January 22, 2021 in Japan.

Trailer for movie “Tengaramon”

Trailer added for movie “Tengaramon” starring Haruma Miura. Movie is based on the life of historical figure Tomoatsu Godai. He became Japan’s leading entrepreneur during the early Meiji period. The trailer starts with Haruma Miura stating in Japanese “I just want a future with a dream.”

“Tengaramon” will be released December 11, 2020 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Loved Like a Flower Bouquet” (literal title) starring Masaki Suda & Kasumi Arimura. Movie is scripted by Yuji Sakamoto & directed by Nobuhiro Doi. The song “Wasurena” by Awesome City Club is played in the main trailer. That song was inspired by the movie and all three members of the band (Porin, Atagi and Morisee) appear in a scene in the movie and sing.

Kiko Mizuhara & Honami Sato cast in movie “Kanojo.”

Kiko Mizuhara and Honami Sato are cast in Netflix live-action film “Kanojo.” The film is based on manga series “Gunjo” by Ching Nakamura and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki (“Vibrator“). The script will have Kiko Mizuhara and Honami Sato playing two women who are in love. One woman goes as far as killing a husband for the other woman.

“Kanojo” will be released sometime during spring, 2021 on Netflix.
