Fuji TV-Tokai TV drama series “13,” starring Nanami Sakuraba, is now set to first air August 1, 2020 in Japan. The 4 episode drama series is a remake of 2016 BBC Three television series “Thirteen.” In addition, supporting cast members have been announced for the remake drama series. The newly announced supporting cast members are Yuka Itaya, Sho Aoyagi , Ryoko Yuui, Satoshi Jinbo, Ruka Ishikawa and Yuki Inoue. The drama series was first scheduled to air June 6, 2020, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: 13 years after her disappearance, Yuria (Nanami Sakuraba) returns home. She now looks like a 26-year-old woman, but her mental development seems to have stopped at the age of 13 when she disappeared.

Yui Aragaki is cast in NTV drama series “Doting Parent Youth White Paper” (literal title) starring Tsuyoshi Muro and Mei Nagano. For the drama series, Yui Aragaki will play Sachiko Obika. For the drama series, Taishi Nakagawa will play Masaharu Hatakeyama. He leaves his hometown in Akita Prefecture to attend a university in Tokyo. This is the same school where father (Tsuyoshi Muro) and daughter (Mei Nagano) attend. The daughter takes an interest in Taishi Nakagawa.

Fuka Koshiba is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Youkai Sharehouse.” The drama series features an original screenplay that revolves around a sharehouse where youkai live. Supporting cast announced for movie “Midnight Swan” starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. The film is scripted and directed by Eiji Uchida and has Tsuyoshi Kusanagi playing a transgender woman as the main character. Just announced for 11 supporting character roles are Misaki Hattori, Asami Mizukawa, Tomorowo Taguchi, Sei Matobu, Shunsuke Tanaka, Kaito Yoshimura, Reo Sanada, Rinka Ueno, Eriko Sato, Yusuke Hirayama, and Toshie Negishi. Notable roles include Misaki Hattori who will play Ichika Sakurada. She is a distant relative of Nagisa (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) and they begin to live together. Asami Mizukawa will play Saori Sakurada, who is the mother of Ichika Sakurada.
“Midnight Swan” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.
