Riku Hagiwara & Reina Triendl cast in TV Asahi drama “Mr. Tsukuyomi’s Forbidden Midnight Snack”

Riku Hagiwara & Reina Triendl are cast in TV Asahi live-action drama series “Mr. Tsukuyomi’s Forbidden Midnight Snack.” The foodie themed drama series is based on on manga series “Tsukuyomi-kun no Kindan Oyashoku” by Nikki Asada. For the just cast lead actors, Riku Hagiwara will play Yuga Tsukuyomi. He works as a a dietary management expert and he loves to cook. Reina Triendl will play Soyogi Mikami. She is a personal trainer who has lost her enthusiasm with eating.

“Mr. Tsukuyomi’s Forbidden Midnight Snack” first airs April, 2023 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Saturday 11:30 PM time slot after “6 Byoukan no Kiseki“).

Kyoko Yoshine and Daiki Shigeoka are cast in NTV drama series “Sorette Pakuri Janaidesuka.” The drama series is based on 2019 novel “Sorette Pakuri Janaidesuka” by Sakurako Okuno. “Sorette Pakuri Janaidesuka” will revolve around a beverage company that has a patent taken by a rival company. Kyoko Yoshine will play lead character Aki Fujisaki. She works for the beverage company. Daiki Shigeoka will play Masami Kitawaki. He works for the parent company of the beverage company and teams up with Aki Fujisaki to regain their patent.

Fuka Koshiba is cast in TV Asahi live-action drama series “Wave, Listen to Me” (literal title). Drama series is based on manga series “Nami yo Kiitekure” by Hiroaki Samura. For “Wave, Listen to Me,” Fuka Koshiba will play Minare Koda. She spends an evening drinking at a bar after going through some troubling times. A man, who happens to be the director of a radio station, listens to her story and decides she has potential as a radio personality.

“Wave, Listen to Me” will be air April, 2023 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Friday 11:15 PM time slot after “Liaison“).

Nao, Takanori Iwata, Minami Tanaka, & Eita Nagayama are cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Even If You Don’t Do It.” The drama series is based on manga series “Anata ga Shite Kurenakute mo” by Haru Haruno. For “Even If You Don’t Do It,” Nao will play office worker Michi Yoshino and Takanori Iwata will play her senior Makoto Niina. They are both in marriages that have problems in the bedroom.

Akito Kiriyama, Kaho Tsuchimura, and Taisei Fukumoto are cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Gekikaradou 2.” The drama series is a sequel to 2021 TV Tokyo drama series “Gekikaradou.” While, season 1 was set in Osaka, season 2 will be set in Tokyo. Akito Kiriyama as Kenta Sarukawa gets transferred to the Tokyo branch for drink company Ronron. He loves to eat spicy food. Also cast for the drama series are Kanro Morita, Yasuyuki Maekawa, Junji Takada, & Mitsuru Hirata.

“Gekikaradou 2” will first air April 6, 2023 in Japan.

Haru and Mahiro Takasugi cast in Fuji TV drama “Mr. Bride, My Darling”

Haru and Mahiro Takasugi are cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Mr. Bride, My Darling.” The drama series is based on manga series “Watashi no Oyome-kun” by Natsumi Shiba. Setup for the drama series will have Haru and Mahiro Takasugi playing co-workers at in the sales department of an electronics company. Haru will play Honoka Hayami. She seems like a neat freak at work, but she is slob at home. Mahiro Takasugi will play Chihiro Yamamoto. He grew up doing the housework with his brothers and is quite skilled at that.

Kenta Kiritani cast in TV Asahi drama “Keiji to Kenji Tokidoki Hanji”

Kenta Kiritani is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Keiji to Kenji Tokidoki Hanji.” The drama series is a sequel to 2020 TV Asahi drama series “Police and Prosecutor.” Yasushi Fukuda, who wrote the original screenplay for “Police and Prosecutor,” will also write the screenplay for “Keiji to Kenji, Tokidoki Hanji.” In “Keiji to Kenji, Tokidoki Hanji,” Kenta Kiritani returns as Detective Gota Nakaido. He is a former PE teacher and now a detective out to catch criminals and get a promotion.

Raiku is cast in TV Tokyo-Paravi live-action drama series “Don’t Stop My Beautification.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Ore no Bijoka ga Tomaranai⁉” by Mana Aizen. In the the drama series, Raiku will play a young man who moves to Tokyo to attend a university. He stays at a lodging place and meets a woman who turns out to be a man.

“Don’t Stop My Beautification” will be released February 1, 2023 through Paravi and air later this year on TV Tokyo.

Teaser poster and ep.1 air date for NTV drama “Captured Hospital”

Teaser poster and ep.1 air date set for NTV drama series “Captured Hospital” starring Sho Sakurai and Manami Higa. The drama series has Sho Sakurai playing Detective Saburo Musashi. Manami Higa plays his estranged wife Yuko Musashi. She works at a hospital, where masked men take everybody as hostages.

“Captured Hospital” is now set to first air January 14, 2023 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Saturday 10PM time slot after “Patient Chart Prayer“).
