Kentaro Sakaguchi and Noa Shiroyama cast in NTV drama “Dr. Chocolate”

Kentaro Sakaguchi and Noa Shiroyama are cast in NTV drama series “Dr. Chocolate.” The drama series is by Yusuke Watanabe (“ST MPD Scientific Investigation Squad“). In “Dr. Chocolate,” Kentaro Sakaguchi and Noa Shiroyama will play members of an illegal surgery team for hire. Noa Shiroyama will play 10-year-old genius surgeon Yui Terashima and Kentaro Sakaguchi will play Tetsuya Noda, who leads the team.

“Dr. Chocolate” first airs April, 2023 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Saturday 10PM time slot after “Captured Hospital“).

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: 2 years ago, Tetsuya Noda (Kentaro Sakaguchi) worked as a doctor. He was a medical intern trained by cardiac surgeon Koichi Terashima. One day, Koichi Terashima and his wife were murdered. At that time, Tetsuya Noda lost his right hand. Koichi Terashima and his wife left behind their 8-year-old daughter Yui Terashima (Noa Shiroyama).

Now, Tetsuya Noda teams up with Yui Terashima to lead an illegal secret surgery team, whose ultimate purpose is to find the truth behind the death of her parents. The team consists of 7 members. Tetsuya Noda is called Teacher and Yui Terashima is called Dr. Chocolate. She is only 10 years old, but she is genius in the medical field. She was strongly influenced by her father and acquired advanced medical techniques through her interest in her father’s work. To hire the black market surgery team, a fee of 100 million yen in cash is required as well as an NDA requirement and chocolate. The team are able to save the lives of patients no matter the circumstances, but a newspaper reporter begins to chase after them.
