Fuka Koshiba is cast in TV Asahi live-action drama series “Wave, Listen to Me” (literal title). Drama series is based on manga series “Nami yo Kiitekure” by Hiroaki Samura. For “Wave, Listen to Me,” Fuka Koshiba will play Minare Koda. She spends an evening drinking at a bar after going through some troubling times. A man, who happens to be the director of a radio station, listens to her story and decides she has potential as a radio personality.
“Wave, Listen to Me” will be air April, 2023 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Friday 11:15 PM time slot after “Liaison“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Minare Koda (Fuka Koshiba) is a 26-year-old, single woman and she works part-time at a curry soup restaurant. She has recently gone through a series of troubling events, including being dumped by her boyfriend and getting conned out of money. Because of this, she drinks alcohol at a bar. At that time, the chief director of a local radio station happens to be there and joins her. Minare Koda tells her story about the recent troubles she has experienced. The radio station chief director listens to her and realizes she has potential as a radio personality. Thanks to the chief director, Minare Koda is selected to host the late night radio program “Wave, Listen to Me.”
