Gaku Hamada, Anna Ishii, and Nobuyuki Suzuki are cast in TV Tokyo drama “Keiji, Furidashi ni Modoru”

Gaku Hamada, Anna Ishii, and Nobuyuki Suzuki are cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Keiji, Furidashi ni Modoru.” Drama series is based on webcomic “Hatsukoi Reverse: Keiji, Furidashi ni Modoru” by MANGAmuse, which will be available from March 27, 2026 through Mecha Comic. The screenplay adapation by Yasuhiro Yoshida (“Cold Case“) will have Gaku Hamada play lead character Makoto Hyakutake. He is a detective and he somehow travels 10 years back in time. He then tries to change the destiny of his girlfriend who died.

“Keiji, Furidashi ni Modoru” will first air April 17, 2026 in Japan (takes over TV Tokyo’s Friday 9 PM time slot after “Moto Kasouken no Onna“).

Nobuyuki Suzuki cast in movie “Salaryman Kintaro”

Nobuyuki Suzuki is cast in movie “Salaryman Kintaro.” The film is based on manga series “Salaryman Kintaro” by Hiroshi Motomiya and will be released in two parts. The manga series was previously adapted into TBS drama series “Salaryman Kintaro,” TV Asahi drama series “Salaryman Kintaro,” and a 1999 movie version “Salaryman Kintaro.” Nobuyuki Suzuki will play main character Kintaro Yajima. He is a former motorcycle gang leader and now a salaryman.

“Salaryman Kintaro” will be released  January 10, 2025 with the Akatsuki version and the second part named Kai version will be released February 7, 2025.

Nanao & Nobuyuki Suzuki cast in Fuji TV drama “Marriage Is Difficult For A Ninja.”

Nanao and Nobuyuki Suzuki are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Marriage Is Difficult For A Ninja.” The ninja romantic-comedy screenplay is based on 2022 novel “Ninja ni Kekkon wa Muzukashii” by Dai Yokozeki (“Lupin’s Daughter“) and directed by Masato Hijikata (“The After-Dinner Mysteries“). For the drama series, Nano and Nobuyuki Suzuki will play a married couple. They both hold a secret that they are a ninja and they are unaware of their partner’s secret. They also come from rival ninja families.

“Marriage Is Difficult For A Ninja” will first air January, 2023 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Thursday 10PM time slot after “Silent“).

Nobuyuki Suzuki and Rio Uchida are cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun.” The drama series is based on manga “Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun” by Arare Matsumushi. The screenplay will revolve around a romance between a bicycle owner, who has a thug’ish appearance, and a office worker lady.

“Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun” first airs November, 2022 (takes over TV Tokyo’s Thursday 24:30 time slot after “Chaser Game“).

Nobuyuki Suzuki & Atsuhiro Inukai cast in NTV drama series “Kei x Yaku”

Nobuyuki Suzuki and Atsuhiro Inukai are cast in NTV-YTV drama series “Kei x Yaku.” The drama series is based on “Kei x Yaku: Abunai Aibou” by Yoshie Kaoruhara. For the drama series, Nobuyuki Suzuki will play main character Ichiro Kunishita. He is a police officer who teams up with a yakuza boss played by Atsuhiro Inukai. They pretend to be lovers, while they try to find the truth behind the disappearance of Ichiro Kunishita’s colleague, who is also the older brother of the yakuza boss.

“Kei x Yaku” first airs January 13, 2022.

Nobuyuki Suzuki cast in TV Tokyo-Amazon Prime drama “A Bad Boy Drinks Tea!”

Nobuyuki Suzuki is cast in TV Tokyo-Amazon Prime live-action drama series “A Bad Boy Drinks Tea!” Also cast for supporting roles are Toshiki Seto , Minori Hagiwara and Rinka Kumada.  The drama series is based on manga series “Ocha ni Gosu” by Hiroyuki Nishimori (“From Today, It’s My Turn!!“). For the drama series, Nobuyuki Suzuki will play first year high school student Masaya Funabashi. He has an intimidating physical appearance and was notorious for fighting in his middle school days. He then gets recruited for the tea ceremony club at his high school.

“A Bad Boy Drinks Tea!” will consist of 12 episodes and will stream on Amazon Prime Video from March 5, 2021. The drama series will also air on TV Tokyo sometime next year.

Main cast announced for live-action film “Tokyo Revengers”

Main cast announced for upcoming live-action film “Tokyo Revengers.” Now cast for the film are Takumi Kitamura as Takemichi Hanagaki, Yuki Yamada as Ken Ryuguji, Yosuke Sugino as Naoto Tachibana, Nobuyuki Suzuki as Masataka Shimizu, Hayato Isomura as Atsushi Sendo, Shotaro Mamiya as Tetta Kisaki, and Ryo Yoshizawa as Manjiro Sano. Casting for the lead female role of Hinata Tachibana has not been revealed. The film is based on manga series “Tokyo Revengers” by Ken Wakui (“Shinjuku Swan“) and directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa.

“Tokyo Revengers” will be released October 9, 2020 in Japan.

Trailer for movie “Kizoku Korin: Prince of Legend”

Trailer added for movie “Kizoku Korin: Prince of Legend” starring Alan Shirahama & Ryota Katayose. Movie is a sequel to 2018 NTV drama series “Prince of Legend” and 2019 movie “Prince of Legend.” The movie’s theme song has also been revealed, which is “Possible” by co-lead actor Ryota Katayose (‘Generations from Exile Tribe’). The theme song appears in the trailer.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Shintaro Ando (Alan Shirahama) has become Noble Dori after various confrontations. Now, the noble group, who are led by Shintaro Ando, has battles over the title of Legend (“Densetsu”) against the prince group, who are led by Kanade Suzaku (Ryota Katayose).

The film is set at a high school where 14 males students take part in a competition to become Prince of Legend at their school. The movie version will follow NTV drama series “Prince of Legend” which will first air October 3, 2018. The drama series version will give a backdrop on the 14 male students and their reasons for taking part in the competition. Still images below is from the movie version.
