Kim Ji-Won offered lead female role in KBS2 drama series “Third-Rate My Way”

Kim Ji-Won has been offered the lead female role in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Third-Rate My Way.” Park Seo-Joon has already received an offer to play the lead male role and Chun Woo-Hee already received an offer to play the same lead female role as Kim Ji-Won. All three performers are considering offers for their respective roles. If Kim Ji-Won is cast, she will play Choi Ae-Ra. Her character dreamed of becoming a TV announcer, but she now works at the information desk of a department store.

“Third-Rate My Way” will first air May, 2017 in South Korea.

Teaser poster for movie “One Line”

Teaser poster added for upcoming movie “One Line” starring Siwan (“ZE:A”) and Jin Goo. The movie has Siwan playing university student Min-Jae. He becomes involved with a team of bank robbers led by Suk-Goo (Jin-Goo). The teaser poster also reveals that “One Line” will be released sometime during late March, 2017 in South Korea.

Kwon Sang-Woo cast in KBS2 drama series “Mystery Queen”

Kwon Sang-Woo is now cast in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Mystery Queen” co-starring Choi Gang-Hee. In the drama series, Kwon Sang-Woo will play lead male character Detective Ha Wan-Seung. He prefers to follow his intuition rather than relying on reasoning and he also has a hot temper. He gets involves with Yoo Seol-Ok (Choi Gang-Hee ) who appears at a crime scene and does investigations by herself. At first they don’t like each other, but he eventually acknowledges Yoo Seok-Ok’s reasoning abilities. They team up together to investigate cases together.

Yuina Kuroshima and Nozomu Kotaki cast in live-action film “Principal”

Yuina Kuroshima and Nozomu Kotaki (‘Johnny’s West’) are cast in new live-action film “Principal.” The movie is based on manga series “Purinshiparu” by Ryo Ikuemi and directed by Tetsuo Shinohara. In the film, Yuina Kuroshima plays high school student Shima Sumitomo. She decides to live with her father and moves to Hokkaido. There, she meets the two most popular guys at her school (one of whom played by Nozomu Kotaki), but the school has a rule about the two guys that Shima Sumitomo is unaware of.

“Principal” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 added for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Ms. Perfect” starring Ko So-Young, Yoon Sang-Hyun, Cho Yeo-Jeong & Sung Joon.

Meanwhile, still images above are of Ko So-Young and Yoon Sang-Hyun in KBS2 drama series “Ms. Perfect.” In the drama series, they play married couple Sim Jae-Bok (Ko So-Young) and Koo Jung-Hee (Yoon Sang-Hyun). The top still image shows when they were a happy couple, the scene shows Sim Jae-Bok happy as she just gets a job. The two photos in the second row show the couple in the present day and their not so happy marriage.

Masaki Suda and Kenta Kiritani cast in movie “Hibana: Spark”

Masaki Suda and Kenta Kiritani are cast in movie “Hibana: Spark.” Fumino KimuraShuji Kawatani (comedy duo ‘Nicho Kenju’) and Masaki Miura are also cast in supporting roles. Movie “Hibana: Spark” is based on 2015 novel “Hibana” by Naoki Matayoshi. Online streaming company Netflix produced and distributed drama series version “Hibana: Spark” starring Kento Hayashi & Kazuki Namioka last year, which will re-air on NHK beginning February 26, 2016. In the upcoming movie version, Masaki Suda will play aspiring comedian Tokunaga and Kenta Kiritani will play veteran comedian Kamiya. Movie will be directed by Itsuji Itao.

Movie version “Hibana: Spark” will be released November, 2017 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Yurigokoro”

Teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “Yurigokoro” starring Yuriko Yoshitaka. Movie is based on 2011 novel “Yurigokoro” by Mahokaru Numata and directed by Naoto Kumazawa (“Rainbow Song“). Author Mahokaru Numata writes novels in the crime-suspense-horror genre and more specifically the “iyamisu” (eww mystery) subgenre which has become quite popular in Japan in the last 4 or 5 years. Upcoming movie “Kanojo ga Sono Mei wo Shiranai Toritachi,” starring Yu Aoi and Sadao Abe, is also based on another novel by Mahokaru Numata. Premise for movie “Yurigokoro” follows a woman who finds a diary belonging to her father that implicates him as murderer.

Movie “Yurigokoro” will be released sometime this September in Japan.

Jung Jae-Young cast in OCN drama series “Dual”

Actor Jung Jae-Young is cast in new OCN drama series “Dual.” The drama series will premiere sometime in May following the conclusion of “Tunnel.” In the drama series, Jung Jae-Young will play Kang Deuk-Cheon. He works as the chief of a serious crime squad. At home, he is a kind father. He becomes involved in a battle between human clones.
