Masaki Aiba (‘Arashi’) and Emi Takei are cast in new Fuji TV drama series “The Aristocrat Detective” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Katsuhisa Namase, Haruka Igawa, Kenichi Takito, Miho Nakayama and Yutaka Matsushige. Yukie Nakama is also cast for the drama series, but her character has not yet been revealed. Drama series “The Aristocrat Detective” is based on 2010 novel “Kizoku Tantei” by Yutaka Maya. For the drama series, Masaki Aiba will play the title character who calls himself the “Aristocrat Detective.” He doesn’t actually solve the cases himself, but has his employees like his chauffeur (Kenichi Takito), maid (Miho Nakayama) and butler (Yutaka Matsushige) carry out the investigations. Emi Takei will play Aika Takatoku. She is also a detective and competes with the Aristocrat Detective to solve cases.

Erina Mano is cast in new NHK drama series “There’s No Easy Job in This World” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2015 novel “Kono Yo ni Tayasui Shigoto wa Nai” by Kikuko Tsumura and will be directed by Ayato Matsuda. In the drama series, Erina Mano will play main character Kasumi. She is in her late 20’s and lands her dream job as an elementary school teacher. But she quickly burns out from her job and quits. With her finances dwindling, Kasumi decides to take on a series of short-term jobs.
“There’s No Easy Job in This World” will first air April 6, 2017 in Japan.

Movie revolves around a doctor (Cho Jin-Woong) who begins to suspect his landlord (Shin Goo) and landord’s son (Kim Dae-Myung) may be serial killers.

Erika Sawajiri cast in new NTV drama series “Become a Mother” (literal title). Also cast in major supporting character roles are Eiko Koike and Yuka Itaya. All three will play mother roles. In the drama series, Erika Sawajiri will play Yui Kashiwazaki. She came to Tokyo from Hokkaido at the age of 19. After her 3-year-old son was kidnapped, she divorced and lived alone. 9 years later her son comes back. Drama series is directed by Satoru Nakajima and scripted by Fumie Mizuhashi.

First teaser trailer added for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Ms. Perfect” (English title) starring Ko So-Young, Yoon Sang-Hyun, Cho Yeo-Jeong & Sung Joon. Drama series will premiere February 27, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Hwarang“).
Lim Soo-Jung and Ko Gyung-Pyo have been offered roles in upcoming tvN drama series “Chicago Typewriter.” Actor Yoo Ah-In already received an offer to play the lead male role and he is still considering the offer.
For Lim Soo-Jung, she has received an offer to play the lead female character. The lead female character used to be a big fan of bestselling writer Han Se-Joo (Yoo Ah-In if he accepts), but she is now an anti-fan of him.
For Ko Gyung-Pyo he has received an offer to play the second lead male character. The second lead male character is a ghostwriter.
Currently, Yoo Ah-In, Lim Soo-Jung and Ko Gyung-Pyo are all considering their respective offers. Expect a decision soon, as the drama series is scheduled to first air sometime around March, 2017 in South Korea (taking over tvN’s Friday and Saturday 8PM time slot after “Tomorrow With You“).

Movie is based on manga series “Jojo no Kimyona Boken Part 4 Daiyamondo wa Kudakenai” by Hirohiko Araki and directed by Takashi Miike. In the upcoming live-action film, Ryunosuke Kamiki plays Koichi Hirose. He is a classmate of Josuke Higashikata (Kento Yamazaki) and he loves peace. Meanwhile, Nana Komatsu plays Yukako Yamagishi. She goes to the same high school as Koichi Hirose and Josuke Higashikata. She likes Koichi Hirose.
