Mirai Shida is cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Gezan Meshi.” The foodie themed drama series is based on 2022 novel “Yamakei Shinsho Kanto shuhen Oishii Utsukushi no Gezan Meshi” by Yoshiko Nishino. The writer Yoshiko Nishino is a mountain guide and also a freelance writer. For “Gezan Meshi,” Mirai Shida will play introverted Mineko. Her hobby is mountain climbing and eating at restaurants once she finishes her climb.
“Gezan Meshi” will first air November 14, 2024 in Japan.

Roh Jeong-Eui, Lee Chae-Min, & Jo Joon-Young are cast in MBC drama series “Bunny and Brothers” (literal title). The drama series is based on popular webcomic “Bunnywa Obbadeul” by Ni Eun. Setup for the romantic-comedy drama series will have Roh Jeong-Eui play university student Ban Hee-Jin. She is better known by her nickname Bunny. Lee Chae-Min and Jo Joon-Young will play university students who approach her.
“Bunny and Brothers” will first air sometime during the first half of next year in South Korea.

Jeon So-Nee, Lee Yoo-Mi, Jang Seung-Jo, and Lee Mu-Saeng are cast in Netflix drama series “You Killed” (literal title). The drama series is based on Japanese novel “Naomi to Kanako” by Hideo Okuda (“South Bound“), which was previously made into 2016 Fuji TV drama series “Naomi & Kanako” starring Ryoko Hirosue and Yuki Uchida. For “You Killed,” Jeon So-Nee and Lee Yoo-Mi play two women who decide to commit murder. Lee Yoo-Mi will play Hee-Soo who is married to a violent man played by Jang Seung-Jo. The husband is the target of the two women.

Riku Hagiwara and Yuumi Kawai are cast in romance film “She Taught Me Serendipity.” The movie is based on novel “Kyo no Sora ga Ichiban Suki, to Mada Ienai Boku wa” by comedian Shusuke Fukutoku and directed by Akiko Ohku (“Tokyo Serendipity“). For director Akiko Ohku, “She Taught Me Serendipity” is her first directed romance film told from the viewpoint of the male protagonist.

Shiori Kubo and Yuna Taira are cast in live-action movie “Nemuru Baka.” The film, that follows the daily lives of two female roommates at a university, is based on manga series “Nemuru Baka” by Masakazu Ishiguro and directed by Yugo Sakamoto (“Baby Assassins“). For Yuna Taira, who plays Ruka Kujirai, she dyed her hair blonde for the first time and learned to play the guitar for the role.
