Couple poster and teaser trailer #3 for MBC drama series “20th Century Boy and Girl”

Here’s 2 special couple posters for upcoming MBC drama series “20th Century Boy and Girl” starring Kim Ji-Suk and Han Ye-Seul. For the drama series, Kim Ji-Suk plays Gong Ji-Won and Han Ye-Seul plays Sa Jin-Jin. They have been friends since they were kids and develop a romantic relationship. The drama series will also follow the relationships of two other 35-year-old women played by Ryoo Hyoun-Kyoung and Lee Sang-Hee.

In addition a third teaser trailer for the drama series has been added on AsianWiki. The drama series was scheduled to first air September 24, 2017, but, because of a strike at MBC, the drama series will now first air October 9, 2017.

Teaser trailer and teaser poster for movie “Korou no Chi”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for upcoming yakuza film “Korou no Chi” starring Koji Yakusho, Tori Matsuzaka and Yoko Maki. Movie is based on 2015 novel “Korou no Chi” by Yuko Yuzuki and directed by Kazuya Shiraishi. Story for “Korou no Chi” is set in Yokohama, Japan circa 1988. Two cops investigate a missing person case and competing yakuza groups are involved.

“Korou no Chi” will be released May 12, 2018 in Japan.

Main poster and 60 second teaser trailer for movie “Ito-kun A to E”

Main poster and 60 second teaser trailer #4 for upcoming movie “Ito-kun A to E” starring Masaki Okada, Fumino Kimura, Nozomi Sasaki, Mirai Shida, Elaiza Ikeda and Kaho. Movie is based on novel “Ito-kun A to E” by Asako Yuzuki and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. Story for “Ito-kun A to E” follows a man played by Masaki Okada who gets involved with 5 women, including a screenwriter played by Fumino Kimura.

Release date for “Ito-kun A to E” is now set for January 18, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for OCN drama series “Meloholic”

First teaser trailer added for upcoming OCN drama series “Meloholic” starring U-Know Yunho and Kyung Soo-Jin. Drama series is based on webcomic “Meloholic” by Team Getname. The drama series follows a man played by U-Know Yunho with a special power to read the minds of others and a woman played by Kyung Soo-Jin with two personalities.

“Meloholic” first airs November 6, 2017 in South Korea.

Lee Young-Ae cast in drama series “Different Dreams”

Lee Young-Ae is cast in new drama series “Different Dreams” (literal title). Lee Young-Ae will work again with director Yun Sang-Ho whom she worked with previously in SBS drama series “Saimdang, Light’s Diary.” Story for “Different Dreams” will be set in the early 20th century, when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule. Lee Young-Ae will play lead female character Lee Young-Jin. She is a doctor, but becomes an agent for the provisional Korean government.

The screenplay for “Different Dreams” is currently being finalized and filming for the drama series will begin sometime next year.

Trailer for movie “Hikari”

Trailer added for movie “Hikari” starring Arata Iura and Eita. Movie is based on 2008 novel “Hikari” by Shion Miura and directed by Tatsushi Omori. Among the several original novels that Shion Miura has adapted into feature films, Shion Miura’s novel “Mahoro Ekimae Tada Benriken” was adapted into the film “Tada’s Do-It-All House” which is also directed by Tatsushi Omori and stars Eita.

“Hikari” will be released November 25, 2017 in Japan.

Ryoko Shinohara and Suzu Hirose cast in movie “Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai”

Ryoko Shinohara and Suzu Hirose are cast for the lead roles in movie “Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai.” The film is a remake 2011 South Korean film “Sunny” which stars Yoo Ho-Jeong and Shim Eun-Kyung in the respective lead roles. For the upcoming film, Ryoko Shinohara will play the present day version of main character Nami and Suzu Hirose will play Nami in her high school days. Also cast in the film are Yoko Maki, Eiko Koike, Rie Tomosaka and Naomi Watanabe. Hitoshi One will direct the remake film.

Filming for “Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai” is expected to finish late November, 2017 and the movie will be released sometime next year in Japan. Somebody que up “Time After Time.”
