Director Jang Tae-Yoo to direct drama series “Four Men”

Director Jang Tae-Yoo has signed on to direct upcoming drama series “Four Men” starring Park Hae-Jin and Nana. Jang Tae-Yoo’s credits include hit SBS drama series “My Love From the Star” and “Tree With Deep Roots.” Drama series “Four Men” was in negotiations earlier to air on SBS and have Oh Jin-Seok as its primary director, but SBS opted to pass on the drama series which led to Oh Jin-Seok dropping out of the project.

Filming for “Four Men” will begin November, 2017, but the broadcasting station and airing dates have yet to be decided.

Oh Yeon-Seo cast in tvN drama series “Hwayuki”

Oh Yeon-Seo is now cast in upcoming tvN drama series “Hwayuki” co-starring Cha Seung-Won. Currently, Lee Seung-Gi is still considering an offer to play the lead male character role. In the drama series Oh Yeon-Seo will play lead female character Jin Sun-Mi (Buddhist Monk Xuanzang fro the original novel “Journey to the West” which the drama series is based on). Jin Sun-Mi runs a real estate office and she is beautiful and rich, but she has zero social skills.

“Hwayuki” first airs December, 2017 in South Korea.

Tori Matsuzaka cast in movie “Call Boy”

Tori Matsuzaka is cast in new movie “Call Boy” (literal title). The movie is based on 2001 novel “Shonen” by Ira Ishida (“Akihabara@DEEP“) and directed by Daisuke Miura (“Love’s Whirlpool“). Tori Matsuzaka previously performed in a stage play version of “Shonen” from August to September, 2016. In the movie, Tori Matsuzaka will play bored college student Ryo Morinaka. He begins to work at a host bar, fulfilling the desires of women.

“Call Boy” will be released sometime during spring, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 for JTBC drama series “Just Between Lovers”

Teaser trailer #2 added for upcoming JTBC drama series “Just Between Lovers” starring Lee Joon-Ho (‘2PM’) and Won Jin-A. There’s actually two versions of teaser trailer #2. The first version has narration by Won Jin-A stating that “The Wind Changed Everything” and the second teaser has Lee Joon-Ho narrating the same statement of “The Wind Changed Everything.”

 

“Just Between Lovers” first airs December, 2017 in South Korea.

Park Shin-Hye to make cameo appearance in SBS drama series “Temperature of Love”

Park Shin-Hye will make a cameo appearance in currently airing SBS drama series “Temperature of Love.” For her cameo appearance, Park Shin-Hye will play top star Yoo Hey-Jung. Her character’s name of Yoo Hey-Jung is the same as the character Park Shin-Hye played in 2016 SBS drama series “Doctors.” Park Shin-Hye accepted the cameo appearance due to her working relationship with screenwriter Ha Myung-Hee who wrote the screenplays for both drama series.

Park Shin-Hye’s cameo appearance in “Temperature of Love” will air October 23, 2017 in South Korea.

Teaser poster and supporting cast for movie “Tonight, At Romance Theater”

Teaser visual (poster) and supporting cast added for movie “Tonight, At Romance Theater” (literal title) starring Haruka Ayase and Kentaro Sakaguchi. Movie is directed by Hideki Takeuchi and screenplay written by Keisuke Uyama.

Newly announced supporting cast members for the film are Tsubasa Honda, Kazuki Kitamura, Akiyoshi Nakao, Akira Emoto, Anna Ishibashi and Go Kato. Story for “Tonight, At Romance Theater” has Haruka Ayase playing movie character Princess Miyuki and Kentaro Sakaguchi playing aspiring movie director Kenji. Princess Miyuki comes out from a black and white film and Kenji falls in love with her.

“Tonight, At Romance Theater” will be released February, 2018 in Japan.

Cha Seung-Won cast in tvN drama series “Hwayuki”

Actor Cha Seung-Won is now cast in upcoming tvN drama series “Hwayuki.” He will reunite with screenwriters Hong Jung-Eun and Hong Mi-Ran whom he previously worked with in 2011 MBC drama series “The Greatest Love.” For the drama series, Cha Seung-Won will play King Wooma (Bull Demon King). He is the CEO of a top entertainment company and more famous than the entertainers signed to his company. Currently, Lee Seung-Gi and Oh Yeon-Seo are still considering offers to play leading characters in the drama series.

“Hwayuki” will first air this December in South Korea.
