First script reading for OCN drama series “Mistress”

First script reading for OCN drama series “Mistress” took place March 15, 2018 at Studio Dragon in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea. The drama series is a remake of UK television series “Mistresses.” At the first script reading, main cast members including Han Ga-InShin Hyun-BinChoi Hee-SeoGoo Jae-YeeLee Hee-JoonPark Byung-EunOh Jung-Se and Ji Il-Joo all attended.

“Mistress” first airs April 28, 2018 in South Korea.

Supporting cast announced for movie “Punk Samurai Slash Down”

10 supporting cast members has been announced for upcoming movie “Punk Samurai Slash Down” starring Gou Ayano. Now cast in supporting roles are Keiko Kitagawa, Masahiro Higashide, Shota Sometani, Tadanobu Asano, Jun Murakami, Ryuya Wakaba, Koen Kondo, Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Jun Kunimura and Etsushi Toyokawa. The most unsurprising of those announced supporting actors would be Tadanobu Asano as he as previously appeared in numerous Gakuryu Ishii directed films like “Electric Dragon 80000V” and “Dead End Run.” Besides Gakuryu Ishii directing the film, Kankura Kudo writes the screenplay and the movie is based on 2004 novel “Panku Zamurai Kirarete Soro” by Ko Machida. The character cuts above is of the just announced cast members in character, but the top right is of Monkey Mask. The person who will play him has not yet been revealed.

“Punk Samurai Slash Down” will be released June 30, 2018 in Japan.

Lee Joon-Ho, Jang Hyuk & Jung Ryeo-Won cast in SBS drama series “Greasy Melo”

Lee Joon-Ho (‘2PM’), Jang Hyuk and Jung Ryeo-Won are all cast for lead roles in upcoming SBS drama series “Greasy Melo” (literal title). Lee Joon-Ho will play Seo Poong. He was once a star chef, but he now works at a failing Chinese restaurant. Jang Hyuk will play Doo Chil-Seong. He is a loan shark and runs a Chinese restaurant. Jung Ryeo-Won will play Dan Sae-Woo. She is a daughter of a rich family.

“Greasy Melo” first airs May, 2018 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10 PM time slot after “Should We Kiss First“).

Character posters for tvN drama series “My Mister”

Here’s character posters for upcoming tvN drama series “My Mister.” The character posters are of Lee Sun-Kyun, IU, Park Ho-San and Song Sae-Byeok.

Ep.1 will air March 21, 2018 in South Korea at special time of 9:10 PM. Ep.1 will run for 90 minutes, while all other episodes will have a runtime of 70 minutes and start at 9:30 PM.

The drama series will follow three middle aged brothers Dong-Hoon (Lee Sun-Kyun), Sang-Hoon (Park Ho-San) and Gi-Hoon (Song Sae-Byeok) all going through their own difficult lives and twenty something year old Ji-An (IU). She has a rough life.

Main trailer for movie “Love × Doc”

Main trailer added for movie “Love × Doc” starring Yo Yoshida, Shuhei Nomura, Hiroshi Tamaki and Kotaro Yoshida. The film follows a 40 year old pastry chef (Yo Yoshida) and her relationship with a much younger pastry chef (Shuhei Nomura) who likes her. This brings back memories of her disaster when she dated a store owner (Kotaro Yoshida) and a personal trainer (Hiroshi Tamaki). The film is based on an original screenplay by Osamu Suzuki and also directed by him.

“Love × Doc” will be released May 11, 2018 in Japan.

Fumino Kimura & Shota Matsuda cast in web drama series “Sick’s Spec Saga”

Fumino Kimura and Shota Matsuda are cast for the lead roles in web drama series “Sick’s Spec Saga.” The web drama series is a sequel to the “SPEC” drama series from TBS. For “Sick’s Spec Saga,” Fumino Kimura plays Shizuru Mikuriya. Her character is extremely smart and graduated from Harvard University, but she is mentally unstable and she hurts herself. Shota Matsuda plays Hiroyo Takakura. He worked as a detective at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Public Security Bureau. Due to a case related with SPEC holder, he was kicked out of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Public Security Bureau.
