5 character posters for tvN drama series “Mr. Sunshine”

Here’s 5 character posters for upcoming tvN drama series “Mr. Sunshine” starring Lee Byung-Hun and Kim Tae-Ri. The character posters are of Lee Byung-Hun as Eugene Choi, Kim Tae-Ri as Go Ae-Shin, Yoo Yeon-Seok as Goo Dong-Mae, Kim Min-Jung as Hee-Na and Byun Yo-Han as Kim Hee-Sung. Eugene Choi was born as a slave, but eventually went to America and returned to Joseon as a marine captain. The drama series is from director Lee Eung-Bok and screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook who brought us KBS2 drama series “Descendants of the Sun” and tvN drama series “Goblin.”

“Mr. Sunshine” first airs July 7, 2018 in South Korea.

Teaser poster for sequel film “Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days”

Here’s an early teaser poster for upcoming sequel film “Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days” starring Ha Jung-WooJu Ji-Hoon and Kim Hyang-Gi. Movie is based on webcomic series” Singwa Hamgge” by Joo Ho-Min and is a sequel to 2017 film “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds.” Supporting actor Oh Dal-Su, who appeared in the first film, does not appear in the sequel film due to sexual harassment claims made against him from his stage directing career. He is replaced by Jo Han-ChulChoi Il-Hwa  who did not appear in the first film, but was cast for the second film in a supporting role was replaced by Kim Myung-Gon due to separate sexual harassment claims made against him.

“Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days” opens August 1, 2018 in South Korea.

First script reading for drama series “Tale of Gyeryong Fairy”

First script reading for drama series “Tale of Gyeryong Fairy” (literal title), starring Moon Chae-Won and Yoon Hyun-Min, took place May 27, 2018 in Sangamdong, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Moon Chae-Won, Yoon Hyun-Min, Seo Ji-HoonKo Du-ShimKang Mi-Na (‘Gugudan’) and Ahn Kil-Kang attended. In the drama series, Moon Chae-Won and Ko Du-Shim will play the same character of Sun Ok-Nam. People who have a relationship with Sun Ok-Nam sees Moon Chae-Won’s figure and people who do not have a relationship sees Ko Du-Shim’s figure.

Filming of the drama series begins June 11, 2018, but the airing broadcast station has yet to be decided.

Shun Oguri cast in live-action film “Hibiki”

Shun Oguri is cast in live-action film “Hibiki” starring Yurina Hirate (‘Keyakizaka46’). The movie is based on manga “Hibiki: Shousetsuka ni Naru Houhou” by Mitsuharu Yanamoto and directed by Sho Tsukikawa. For “Hibiki,” Shun Oguri will play Shunpei Yamamoto. He is a novelist and aspires to win the Akutagawa Prize.

Filming for “Hibiki” finished June 1, 2018 and the movie will be released September 14, 2018 in Japan.

Lee Seung-Gi and Bae Suzy cast in SBS drama series “Vagabond”

Lee Seung-Gi and Bae Suzy are cast in new SBS drama series “Vagabond.” The duo will play lead roles and its the first time the pair has worked together since 2013 MBC drama series “Gu Family Book.” The first script reading for the drama series took place on June 2, 2018. “Vagabond” hopes to broadcast in South Korea, Japan and the United States simultaneously with Sony Pictures as its foreign distributor.

“Vagabond” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Keiko Kitagawa cast in movie “Smartphone o Otoshita dake nanoni”

Keiko Kitagawa is cast in movie “Smartphone o Otoshita dake nanoni.” The movie is based on 2017 novel “Sumaho o Otoshita dake” by Akira Shiga and directed by Hideo Nakata. Story for “Smartphone o Otoshita dake nanoni” depicts a nightmare scenario when a smartphone is lost and then found by an unscrupulous individual. Filming for “Smartphone o Otoshita dake nanoni” began June 1, 2018 and finishes July 5, 2018.

“Smartphone o Otoshita dake nanoni” will be released November 2, 2018 in Japan.

First script reading for MBC drama series “Risky Romance”

First script reading for MBC drama series “Risky Romance” took place May 3, 2018 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. Main cast members including Ji Hyun-WooLee Si-YoungKim Jin-Yeop, Bae Seul-Ki and Shin Won-Ho (‘CROSS GENE’) attended. The drama series follows the romance between a neurosurgeon played by Ji Hyun-Woo and an endocrinology doctor played by Lee Si-Young.

“Risky Romance” first airs July, 2018 in South Korea.
