Trailer for movie “Lenses on Her Heart” starring Hiroto Kanai and Chizuru Ikewaki. Movie is based on 2015 novel “Kirakira Megane” by Akio Morisawa and directed by Kazutoshi Inudo. Other novels adapted into films by Akio Morisawa include “Tsugaru,” “Cape Nostalgia” and “Natsumi’s Firefly.” Story for the film follows a young man who finds a business card in a used book he purchased. He tracks down that person.

Masaki Aiba is cast in new TV Asahi live-action drama series “Sakanoue Animal Clinic Story.” The drama series is based on manga “Boku to Shippo to Kagurazaka” by Michi Tarasawa. In the drama series, Masaki Aiba will play a veterinarian. He begins work for a veterinarian at an animal hospital in his hometown, but the veterinarian disappears and he becomes in charge of the animal hospital.

Teaser trailer for movie “Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” starring Gang Dong-Won, Han Hyo-Joo and Jung Woo-Sung. Around the 16 second mark in the teaser trailer, the Korean captions states “Human weapon called Wolf Inrang … July, 2018.” Movie is based on 1999 anime “Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” written by Mamoru Oshii and the live-action film is directed by Kim Jee-Woon.
“Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” will be released sometime this July in South Korea.
Kim Sung-Cheol and Jung Chae-Yeon (‘DIA’) are cast in KBS2 drama special “To.Jenny.” The drama series is described as a new type of music drama. Indie band music will appearing in the drama special.

Trailer added for live-action film “Blue Summer” starring Wakana Aoi and Hayato Sano. Movie is based on manga series “Ao-Natsu” by Atsuko Nanba. Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie is “Ao to Natsu” by popular rock band “Mrs. Green Apple.” The theme song appears in the trailer.

First script reading for MBC drama series “Time” took place April 28, 2018 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Ilsan, South Korea. The first script reading included main cast members Kim Jung-Hyun, Seohyun (‘Girls’ Generation’), Kim Joon-Han, Hwang Seung-Un, Kim Jung-Tae and Jeon Su-Kyeong in attendance. The first script reading took about 4 hours to complete.
“Time” first airs July, 2018 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Come and Hug Me.”).

Nijiro Murakami and Alice Hirose are cast in movie “Gun” (literal title). The film is based on 2002 novel “Ju” by Fuminori Nakamura and directed by Masaharu Take. Story for the film follows a young man who finds a gun by the riverside and takes it home.
“Gun” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.
Tsuyoshi Domoto (‘KinKi Kids’) is cast in upcoming live-action sequel film “Gintama 2” starring Shun Oguri. For the film, Tsuyoshi Domoto will play the character of Shinsuke Takasugi, which he also played in 2017 film “Gintama.” Shinsuke Takasugi is the leader of the armed “Kiheitai” group.
“Gintama 2” opens August 17, 2018 in Japan.
