Shotaro Mamiya is cast in TBS drama series “Ignite.” The drama series features an original screenplay about an unconventional law firm in Tokyo. Shotaro Mamiya will play Ryo Uzaki. After having a career change, he unsuccessfully tries to find a law firm to hire. Then he finds Peace Law Office. The law firm seeks out clients by going to places with trouble and igniting people to sue.

Cho Yi-Hyun and Choo Yeong-Woo are cast in tvN drama series “Gyeon-Woo and the Fairy” (literal title). The teen-romance drama series is based on popular webcomic “Gyeonwoowa Sunnyeo” by An Soo-Min and directed by Kim Yong-Wan (“The Whirlwind“). Lead actress Cho Yi-Hyun will play high school student Park Sung-A, who also works as a popular fortune teller at night. Choo Yeong-Woo will play high school student Bae Gyeon-Woo. His destiny crosses paths with Park Sung-A.
“Gyeon-Woo and the Fairy” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

The teaser trailer starts off with So Yu-Jin stating “The crazy woman in this are is you Oh Na-Ra” as Oh Na-Ra gets slapped with a squid. The drama series is a comedy revolving around two sisters and their families. Lee Joon-Ho and Kim Min-Ha are cast in tvN drama series “Typhoon Trading Company” (literal title). The drama series is set in 1997, while South Korea was going through an economic crisis. Lee Joon-Ho will play Kang Tae-Poong. Although he lived a carefree life, as his father ran a trading company, he steps into the role of the CEO after his father passes away. He tries to save the company during the tough economic times. Kim Min-Ha will play Oh Mi-Sun. She works at the trading company as an accountant.

Tomohisa Yamashita and Haruka Fukuhara are cast in movie “The Honest Realtor” (“Shojiki Fudosan”). The film is based on manga series “Shojiki Fudosan” by Takeshi Natsuhara and Mitsuhiro Mizuno, which was previously adapted into 2022 NHK drama series “The Honest Realtor” and 2024 NHK drama series “The Honest Realtor 2.” Tomohisa Yamashita and Haruka Fukuhara starred in both of the NHK drama series. For the movie version, Tomohisa Yamashita will reprise his role of Saichi Nagase. His character is a realtor and a habitual liar, but a curse caused him to tell only the truth.
“The Honest Realtor” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Poster and release date set for movie “The Match” starring Lee Byung-Hun and Yoo Ah-In. The movie was originally planned for release through Netflix, but Netflix suspended the release due to the drug scandal involving Yoo Ah-In. Now, “The Match” will be released through theaters on March 26, 2025 in South Korea. Caption on the poster states “Challenger Lee Chang-Ho … Highest Ranked Jo Hun-Hyun … from now on.” The movie features Lee Byung-Hun as Jo Hun-Hyun and Yoo Ah-In as Lee Chang-Ho.
